One effective method is to clean damp areas with vinegar, a natural mold inhibitor, while avoiding bleach which can make the problem worse. Additionally, consider investing in a dehumidifier to reduce humidity levels and empty it regularly for optimal performance. Opening windows for fresh air circulation is another simple yet effective strategy. If the weather doesn't permit, use ceiling fans to keep air flowing indoors. Ensuring proper ventilation is critical; always use exhaust fans in bathrooms during and after showers to limit moisture build-up. If your bathroom has a window, make it a habit to open it after showering to allow steam to escape. By implementing these tips, you can safeguard your home against mold growth, protect your health, and maintain a comfortable living environment.

so, my husband is from russia, and he's from the southern area near turkey, and he said using vodka on areas that mild work wonders. it has to be super high proof and super cheap. spray it on mild wipe and it never returns. our rental smelled cat pee bad! we didnt own a cat, but the smell was so bad during the summer. I used vodka on the carpet sprayed heavily, and then used my carpet cleaner overbit and it's gone. been here 4 years now and no smell. our bathroom fan in our old house didnt work, and landlord refused to replace it, we ended up with mold on the ceiling, used vodka, fixed it. it would come back like once a year but spray it and it's gone again. ❤️ I use it on my car seats as well to help with kids smells lol. plus when it dried it evaporates!!! so no smell of booz, and it disinfects fabrics!!!!!

Great tips! I would add using an air purifier as it has been a game changer for me with mold toxicity!
