Baby led weaning
This is my first baby yes but trust me when I say that you will know when your baby is ready! Not all babies are created the same so by no means don’t rush yours😁
My sweet girl here tried purée at 4 months old and was obsessed with them!!! My favorite brand I would recommend is cerebelly it’s a healthier option and has no added sugars. Now we are 6 months old eating solids, we are still taking our time exploring this but so far I have a foodie on my hands 👏😁
Comment when your baby started and what you did to help them🫶🏻

Baby led weaning (BLW) is an increasingly popular method for introducing solids to infants, allowing babies to self-feed from the start of their weaning journey. Unlike traditional spoon-feeding purees, BLW encourages babies to explore different textures and tastes at their own pace, helping to develop their motor skills and preferences early on. As highlighted in the article, some babies may show interest in purees as early as 4 months, but the general recommendation from health experts like the American Academy of Pediatrics is to begin introducing solids around 6 months, when babies show readiness signs such as good head control and curiosity about food. Choosing nutritious purees is vital for baby’s health and taste development. Brands such as Cerebelly, noted for having no added sugars and using wholesome ingredients, can be excellent starter foods to ensure babies get essential nutrients without unnecessary additives. Parents are encouraged to be patient and responsive to their babies' readiness cues—every child is unique. BLW can help foster a positive relationship with food by giving babies control, but it must be paired with foods that are safe and age-appropriate to prevent choking hazards. Always supervise babies during feeding and consult pediatricians if uncertain. In addition to purees, introducing a variety of solid food textures, colors, and flavors by 6 months strengthens palate development. Combining BLW and traditional weaning methods as per the baby's comfort can make the transition smoother. Engaging with community support through hashtags and forums like #babyledweaning and #startingsolidfoods, as mentioned, helps parents share experiences and tips, building confidence during this important stage. Ultimately, the best approach balances baby’s individual pace with nutritious food choices to promote healthy growth and a lifelong love of food.
