Decimos que amamos a Dios pero no todo en nuestra vida le pertenece.
Amar a Dios no es lo mismo que obedecer a Dios.
In my personal journey of faith, I've often reflected on the powerful difference between loving God and obeying Him. While love can be an emotional or spiritual connection, obedience requires action and commitment that align with God's teachings. It's easy to say we love God, but when we evaluate our daily decisions, we might find areas of our lives we haven't fully surrendered to Him. For instance, I used to struggle with the idea that loving God meant simply believing in Him or attending church regularly. However, I learned that true love for God flows into obedience—living according to biblical principles, such as honesty, kindness, and humility. Obedience is an ongoing challenge because it means prioritizing God's will over personal desires. Reflecting on scripture, obedience is seen as evidence of our love for God (John 14:15). This means every part of our lives, including our thoughts, actions, and relationships, should reflect our commitment to Him. Through prayer and meditation on the Bible, I found clarity about areas where I needed to improve obedience. Moreover, obedience fosters spiritual growth. When we submit to God’s guidance, we experience peace and purpose. It's not always easy, but the journey deepens our connection with Him. Sharing these reflections with fellow believers encouraged me, reminding me that we all face struggles in aligning love with obedience, but the effort strengthens our faith. If you find yourself loving God yet feeling distant in obedience, consider small steps like daily prayer, seeking counsel from trusted spiritual mentors, or journaling your faith experiences. These practices can help transform love into tangible obedience, enriching your spiritual life and strengthening your relationship with God.
