NEW COMMISSION: Work in Progress🎨🦋

One brush that's often overlooked, but incredibly versatile, is the 'Chalk' brush – something you might have spotted in my brush library screenshot! I find it fantastic for adding subtle texture, creating a slightly gritty feel, or even for initial rough sketches where I want a bit of softness. For this moth commission, for instance, I might use a chalk-like brush for the initial block-in of the wings, giving them a natural, almost powdery appearance before refining the details. It adds a certain organic quality that softer, blurrier brushes can’t quite replicate. When tackling a detailed piece like this moth, my process usually involves layering different brush types.
