Part Two: DITL of a third year college student

Day in my life! 📖 part 2!

• WEDNESDAY •

I wake up at 6:30 on Wednesdays for me to be at my meeting by 8:00. It’s about a 20ish minute walk from my dorm to the building I have my meeting in. I got breakfast at about 7:40, again, although it looks bad it wasn’t a horrible breakfast. My first class is from 12:30-1:45 and my other class (in a different building, about a 5 minute walk) is from 2:00-3:15!

Then I head to grab some dinner at 4:00 and studying, & get some chill time before going to my Ministry student gathering with some friends at 6:00-9:00 and head home!

I forgot to post Wednesday which is why I posted this on a Thursday

Lmk if you want more DITL content!

I know the struggle of balancing a packed schedule with the desire for some personal time. My Wednesdays are usually a whirlwind, starting bright and early as you saw, but I've picked up a few tips along the way that might help you manage your own busy college DITL. First off, that early "waking up @6:30" isn't always easy, but having a consistent morning routine, even if it's just a quick "shower" and getting "ready to leave," makes a huge difference. It sets the tone for the rest of my day, even before I head out for an 8 AM "meeting." These early commitments, like my "ministry student gathering" planning, can be demanding, sometimes taking a couple of hours, so I've learned to fuel up with a decent breakfast before diving in. Then comes the academic sprint! Moving between buildings for "classes" like "Technical Writing" and "Senior Fiction workshop" means I'm constantly on the go. For "Technical Writing," we were even tasked with creating a medicine label – it’s assignments like these that really make you apply what you learn! To keep everything straight, I swear by a digital calendar and a physical planner. Jotting down due dates, like the one for my Senior Fiction workshop, and mapping out my walk times between classes ensures I'm never late and always prepared. It’s a lifesaver when you have multiple assignments and readings from different courses to juggle. After classes, it’s all about finding that balance. I usually grab a quick "dorm dinner," like my go-to pasta with pesto sauce, which is a perfect way to recharge. Then, it's straight into "studying." I try to break up my study sessions into manageable chunks, focusing on one subject at a time. It’s not always easy, especially when you’re craving some "chill time." But knowing I have my "ministry student gathering" to look forward to later helps me stay motivated. One thing I've learned about the college DITL is the importance of flexibility and self-care. Even with a tight schedule, making time for friends, exercising, or just unwinding before bed is crucial. It prevents burnout and keeps you energized for the next day's adventures. Every college student's day is unique, but finding your rhythm and embracing the journey is what truly makes university life an incredible experience.
