Weeaboo-boo

It's always a journey getting back into art, and for me, diving into fan art, especially from shows like Helluva Boss, is the perfect way to rekindle that creative spark! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with bringing characters to life on paper, and Weeaboo-boo was my latest muse. For those unfamiliar, Weeaboo-boo is a fantastic character from Helluva Boss, and she truly stands out with her unique aesthetic. When I started sketching, I focused on her most recognizable features. I loved detailing her signature pink hair/fur, those captivating three eyes, and the subtle hints of small wings and a tail. Her outfit – a cool black hoodie paired with a playful pink plaid skirt – gives her such a distinct personality. Trying to get all those elements just right, from the flow of her hair to the folds in her clothes, was a fun challenge. I even tried to incorporate both a hand-drawn feel and a digital touch to show the different stages of my process. Drawing fan art like this isn't just about replicating a character; it's about interpreting them in your own style. I used alcohol markers for this piece, which offered a vibrant color palette, though I admit, I wasn't entirely thrilled with the top hair and tail color in the end. But hey, that's part of the artistic process, right? Sometimes experiments don't go exactly as planned, but every stroke is a learning experience. It’s what helps you grow and refine your technique over time.
