Aesthetic Habits

First of all, when I talk about aesthetically pleasing spaces, I'm not recommending that anyone should start shopping. Instead, I'm only using what I already have and try not to spend any money at all. As an artist that grew up without money, I prefer to be creative with my spaces and style. Anything in my photos with a price next to it, I bought more than 2 years ago. I'm a big fan of using what's already around or making something with what's already there.

🧘 Habit 1:Try to keep your bedside table as tidy and organized as you can. If all you can do is move a dirty dish to the kitchen, due to low energy or fatigue, great job. that's still an accomplishment.

🧘 How It Helps Me: When my energy levels are at their high, I take advantage of the extra energy and do small tasks, like organizing and light cleaning. It helps me feel like I've accomplished something that has been needing to get done. It also helps to give me a better routine and sleep cycle.

🧘 Habit 2: Organize jewelry. I don't wear necklaces or earrings often, so they stay in my bathroom. But rings and bracelets are my go to accessories. I keep my favorite ones in a dish on my side table.

🧘 How It Helps Me: When I don't have enough energy to look at myself in the mirror, (yes, for us chronic pain girlies, it happens a lot), it's easier to get out of bed, if I'm able, to put on a few rings and a bracelet that's in my reach.

🧘 Habit 3: Reading.

🧘 How It Helps Me: Ideally, I'd like to be able to read multiple books a day like I did in middle school and high school. But I'm not trying to mentally escape the people I live with anymore because the people I live with now are either the ones I made, or the one that I chose to have in my life. Instead, I try to dedicate time each day to read 1 chapter of a book I'm currently reading, and then thinking about the chapter and any theories I have of what will happen next.
