I’m just so sick of being lied to, or gaslit
Experiencing repeated lies or gaslighting can deeply affect your trust in others and your own perception of reality. From my own experience, one of the hardest moments is realizing that you’ve invested trust wholeheartedly, only to feel used or deceived. It feels like a bad habit of hoping for the best in people who might not deserve that trust. I found that acknowledging the pain without blaming myself is crucial. It’s easy to become kinda mad at yourself for letting yourself think someone was a true friend, but understanding that this is a common human experience helps relieve some of the self-directed anger. Building up trust again requires time and intentional boundaries. Surrounding yourself with supportive, honest people and learning to identify red flags early helps protect from future hurt. Journaling feelings and talking with close friends or a counselor can also provide clarity when you feel gaslit and confused. Remember, trusting your instincts and setting firm personal limits empowers you. Learning to say no and recognizing the signs of emotional manipulation are vital steps in reclaiming your peace of mind. It’s not easy, but healing from these experiences is possible, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
