“Ready to Pop” baby shower

We decorated it further with paper fans and a popsicle banner kit from Michael's – they always have such great seasonal finds! Don’t forget those fun gold foil balloons spelling out "READY TO POP" – they instantly set the mood and make for great photo ops. Decorations are key, and we had so much fun with ours. Beyond the centerpiece and backdrop, we found inflatable popsicle ice buckets to keep drinks cool on the tables, which were both practical and adorable. Think bright streamers, colorful balloons, and even string lights for an evening shower. Michael's was a treasure trove for all our colorful summer popsicle-themed items! Now, let’s talk about the treats! For a 'Ready to Pop' theme, the food can be just as playful. We had delightful "Rice Krispie pops" – some swirled with orange and white icing, others with blue sprinkles, all on sticks like lollipops. They were a huge hit! Don't forget open can cocktails for the adults, and a variety of sodas or sparkling waters. A 'Popcorn Bar' with different seasonings and toppings can also be a fantastic addition, or even cake pops that literally 'pop' with flavor. When it came to invitations, you can get really creative. Imagine sending out invites that look like mini popcorn bags or soda cans! For party favors, small bags of gourmet popcorn, mini bottles of sparkling soda, or even bubble wands fit the theme perfectly. And for those looking to make it extra special, like we did by celebrating my husband too, consider adding elements that reflect both parents. Maybe a 'Dad-to-be' drink station or a little corner dedicated to his favorite snacks. It makes the celebration feel even more inclusive and personal.
