Quick Breakfast: Breakfast Bowls

Good Morning, Lovelies!

Starting the day with a delicious breakfast is a must, and today I'm sharing one of my favorite breakfast bowl recipes!

Introducing... the Ultimate Breakfast Bowl!

This hearty bowl is packed with flavor and protein to keep you energized throughout the morning. And the best part? You can customize it to your liking with your favorite toppings!

The Essentials:

- 1-2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces

- 1/2 cup ground sausage (or any breakfast meat of your choice)

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preferred variety)

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Optional toppings: mushrooms, onions, sour cream, and more!

The Steps:

1. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the potatoes and cook until they're tender and golden brown, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

2. In a separate skillet, cook the ground sausage until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Set aside with the potatoes.

3. In the same skillet, crack in the eggs and scramble them until cooked through.

4. To assemble the bowls, place a layer of potatoes at the bottom, followed by a layer of sausage, then the scrambled eggs.

5. Top it all off with a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese and any desired toppings (like sautéed mushrooms or onions, or a dollop of sour cream)!

Make it Your Own:

The beauty of this recipe lies in its customizability! Add your favorite toppings or mix and match different ingredients to create the ultimate breakfast bowl that suits your taste buds.

Happy Breakfasting, Lovelies!

They can be easily tailored to accommodate various dietary needs, whether you're vegetarian, gluten-free, or simply seeking healthier options. Popular variations often include a base of grains like quinoa or brown rice, mixed with vegetables such as spinach, peppers, or avocado. These bowls not only provide essential proteins and carbohydrates to fuel your day but also boost your intake of vitamins and minerals from the added vegetables. For added flavor, consider incorporating different herbs and spices, like garlic, basil, or paprika, to enhance the taste profile. Pairing your breakfast bowl with a side of fresh fruit or a smoothie can also create a balanced meal. Try to experiment with different combinations of proteins, like grilled chicken or tofu, and various toppings such as avocado slices, nuts, or seeds to find your perfect match. This flexibility helps keep breakfast exciting and aligns with personal taste preferences. Happy cooking!

I do this but I get a 30 pack of sausage patties and a bag of frozen O’Brien potatoes and portion it out for breakfast before work.
