But or Pass Goodwill edition!

Who loves Goodwill? Some of the items I saw at Goodwill included designer clothing, vintage furniture, and unique home decor. I was tempted to buy everything, but I decided to only purchase a few items that I truly loved. Overall, it was a successful shopping trip and I can't wait to go back and see what other treasures I can find. Where is your favorite Goodwill? I was in Huntsville today. #goodwilltherapy #shopping #partyofone #lemon8dairy #buyorpass

... Read moreMy latest Goodwill trip felt less like shopping and more like an epic scavenger hunt, and honestly, that's what makes thrifting so much fun! Instead of just browsing, I sometimes go in with a list or specific 'treasures' in mind, turning the whole experience into a game. It's truly amazing what you can uncover when you approach it with that mindset. One of my favorite parts of a Goodwill scavenger hunt is the sheer variety. You never know if you'll stumble upon a designer clothing gem hidden among everyday wear, or a unique piece of vintage furniture that just needs a little TLC to shine. On my recent outing, I was definitely on the lookout for standout fashion pieces. I'm always checking the jacket racks for unique styles – like that moment I found a really interesting LuLaRoe jacket that caught my eye! It's these unexpected finds that really make your day. And don't even get me started on shoes! I spotted some fantastic black strappy sandals and even some bold snakeskin print ankle boots that made me pause and think, 'Which one would I buy?' The thrill is in the discovery, and then, of course, the big 'buy or pass' decision! Beyond clothing, I always dedicate time to exploring the home decor section. This is where you can truly find items to personalize your space without breaking the bank. I've seen everything from quirky art to elegant vases. This time, I found myself drawn to the candle aisle, noticing some stylish black boxed candles priced at just $4.99. It made me wonder what everyone else's favorite candle finds are! And for those who love a bit of nostalgia, don't overlook the media section. Seriously, there's a whole world of DVDs and even VHS tapes waiting to be rediscovered. It brings back so many memories, and sometimes you find a rare movie you've been looking for. To make your own Goodwill scavenger hunt a success, here are a few tips I’ve picked up: First, go in with an open mind but also a loose 'treasure map.' Think about what you might need or what categories excite you most. Second, don't be afraid to dig! The best items are often tucked away. Third, always, always inspect items carefully before deciding to buy. Check for stains, tears, chips, or any damage. Remember, a great deal isn't a great deal if it's unusable. Lastly, consider the potential. Could that plain vase be painted? Could that vintage jacket be styled in a modern way? Sometimes, the best finds are those with a little DIY potential. Happy hunting, and I hope your next Goodwill scavenger hunt leads you to some incredible treasures!
