EASY HAIRSTYLE FOR SCHOOL 🏫
Half up half downs are always my go to - there are so many ways you can style it and so many cute clips you can swap for! The one I am using is from Teleties but any kind will do. I remember always wanting my hair out of my face when I was in school so this would be a perfect one to try for anyone that feels the same! When my hair is dirty I will slick back everything including the two pieces in the front, it just depends on your personal preference!! 🤍

Okay, so you know how some mornings you just want a cute hairstyle that looks put-together but takes, like, zero effort? That’s totally me! Lately, I’ve been loving the 'two top braids with hair down' look for school. It's such an easy hairstyle that keeps those pesky front pieces out of your face, but still lets you rock your long hair. Honestly, it’s been a game-changer for those last-minute rushes before class! Here’s how I do my go-to version for an effortlessly chic vibe: Step-by-Step for Your Perfect Two Top Braids: Prep Your Hair: Start with dry or slightly damp hair. I usually just brush mine through to get rid of any tangles. If my hair's a bit dirty, a quick spray of dry shampoo at the roots works wonders and adds some grip. Part it Up: Use a comb to create a clean center part from your hairline all the way back to your crown. This gives you two distinct sections to work with. Section for Braids: On one side, take a small section of hair from the very front, near your part. Think of where you’d normally pull back hair for a half-up style. This section will be your first braid. Clip the rest of your hair out of the way for now. Start Braiding (French or Dutch): Now, this is where the magic happens! I usually go for a Dutch braid because it really pops. Start with three small strands from your chosen section. Cross the outer strands under the middle strand (for Dutch) or over (for French). As you continue, pick up small, equal sections of hair from the 'down' part of your hair and add them to the outer strands before crossing them under/over. Keep the braid fairly close to your scalp and aim it towards the back of your head. Secure Your Braid: Braid down until you reach just past your ear or where you feel comfortable. You can either secure it with a small clear elastic band right there, or if you want a more seamless look, I sometimes just braid it a little further and then pin it discreetly under the rest of my hair with a bobby pin. Repeat on the Other Side: Unclip the hair on your other side and repeat steps 3-5, making sure your second braid mirrors the first in terms of size and tension. The goal is for them to look symmetrical! Fluff and Finish: Once both braids are secured, gently tug on the loops of the braids to make them look a bit thicker and messier – this gives it that soft, effortless vibe. Spritz with a light-hold hairspray to keep everything in place throughout your busy school day. What I love about this look is how versatile it is! You can make your braids tighter for a sleek look or super loose and bohemian. It’s also a fantastic way to transition from a half up half down look if you're looking for a little extra oomph. And remember how I mentioned in my other post about dealing with dirty hair? This style is perfect because those braids hide any oily roots like a charm! So next time you're scrambling for an easy hairstyle for school, give these two top braids a try – you won't regret it!
