Pls help me learn more🕯️💗
I have been wanting to start making candles/wax melts as a part-time small business however, I have always been crafty but on the side of using paints , oil, pastels and cricut projects etc. However, I want to start doing something. That’s completely out of my comfort zone, but I have no idea what I’m doing.😭😂
If somebody can, please give me the guidance/any TikTok, YouTube videos, advice, tips, and hacks I will forever be grateful for you.
What do I need to buy? What do I need? What temperature to burn these at? How to burn the wax? What kind of wax do I need? A lot of different questions going on in my brain at the moment. I’m hoping this app will definitely pull through and help me learn and discover a new hobby for myself.
Thank yall!!💜✨

Starting a candle and wax melt business is an exciting yet daunting endeavor, especially if you're stepping out of your usual crafting comfort zone. To help you get started with the right foundation, here are some key insights and answers to common beginner questions. **Essential Supplies:** Begin with basic materials, including wax (look for paraffin, soy, or beeswax), wicks, fragrance oils, and molds. A thermometer is crucial for measuring the right melting temperatures for the wax you choose. **Understanding Wax Types:** Each type of wax has its own burning characteristics and scent throw. For beginner candle makers, soy wax is often recommended due to its ease of use and eco-friendliness. It burns evenly and holds scent well. **Melting and Pouring Techniques:** Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the specific wax you choose regarding melting points. Pouring your wax at the correct temperature not only ensures better adhesion of your fragrance oils but also helps in avoiding imperfections in your candles. **Learning Resources:** Utilize platforms like YouTube for tutorials—search for videos focusing on beginner candle making. TikTok is also a hub for creative tips and hacks. Look for hashtags like #CandleMaking and #WaxMeltMaking to find community support and insightful content. **Experiment and Have Fun:** The beauty of crafting is exploring and experimenting. Don’t worry about perfection; each candle is a learning opportunity! Document your process and share your creations to inspire others on similar journeys. With these tips and resources, you're well on your way to not only making beautiful candles and wax melts but also enjoying a fulfilling new hobby.
