Work with me as a ✨therapist✨

Honestly? This is my favorite job ever! I won’t tell you it’s easy, but the feeling of being someone’s safe space makes the job so worth it!

I can’t share much about job for confidentiality reasons but I wanted to share some quick tips if I have any fellow therapist friends on Lemon8:

-make time to debrief throughout the day. a lot of this job is going from client to client all. day. long. but if you can take even 2-3 minutes to do some deep breathing in between clients it’s a game changer

-make time for self care

-stay organized so you don’t feel overwhelmed with all the paperwork that also comes with this job

-and if any of my fellow therapists have any suggestions on how to leave work at work, let ya girl know 😂

Enjoy a picture of my desk and me taking a quick walk during my break one day 📷

However, the job comes with its own set of challenges, including high emotional demands and the necessity for effective self-care. To thrive in this profession, therapists must develop coping mechanisms to buffer against burnout. Setting boundaries between work and personal life is crucial; utilizing time management strategies can help in maintaining this balance. Incorporating mindfulness practices during short breaks can also enhance overall job performance and personal wellness. Additionally, organizations within therapy practices can further alleviate stress. Keeping detailed records and paperwork organized reduces feelings of overwhelm, allowing therapists to concentrate on client care. Seeking peer supervision or consultation provides a safe space to debrief and share experiences, enhancing professional development. Furthermore, it can be beneficial to participate in community or networking groups for therapists, providing insight into best practices and sharing resources. This sense of connection can bolster one's emotional resilience while fostering a supportive environment. Therapists are encouraged to prioritize their mental health, participating in regular self-care routines, and giving themselves grace amidst challenging days. These efforts not only benefit the therapist but ultimately contribute to better client care and outcomes.
