What’s your opinion on going through phones?🖤

I’m guilty of this one honestly I’ve had some issues with him in the past beginning of our relationship so I like to check in from time to time it’s not even that I don’t necessarily don’t trust him anymore I have mental disabilities that make me have extreme trust issues and he understands.. I never go through his phone if he’s not sitting right next to me watching.

However this is a tough one! Trust is super important in a relationship. It might be better to have an open conversation with your partner instead of going through their phone.

What do you think?

... Read moreWow, reading this really hit home. It’s such a complicated topic, isn't it? The question, 'DO YOU GO THROUGH YOUR PARTNERS PHONE?' is something many of us have probably grappled with, whether we admit it or not. It's a huge grey area in relationships, and it often stems from a place of deep vulnerability and sometimes, past hurt. I think a lot of people feel that pang of curiosity, or even suspicion, when they see their partner's phone. Maybe it's a gut feeling, a mysterious late-night text, or just general insecurity creeping in. We live in such a digital world now, and so much of our lives, our secrets, and our connections are held within those devices. It's easy to feel like if you could just see what's inside, you'd have all the answers and finally achieve peace of mind. But does it really work that way? From my own perspective, I've seen friends go down this path, and it rarely ends well. Even if you find nothing, that seed of doubt or the feeling of invasion can linger. And if you do find something, then what? You've confirmed your fears, but at what cost to the trust and honesty you once had? It makes you wonder, 'Should we really go there?' This isn't about judging anyone who's felt compelled to check. Trust issues are incredibly difficult to navigate, especially when they're rooted in past experiences or mental health challenges, as the original post mentions. It takes immense bravery to admit those vulnerabilities. But perhaps instead of reaching for the phone, we could try reaching for a conversation. Imagine sitting down with your partner and saying, 'Hey, I've been feeling a bit insecure lately, and I wanted to talk about it.' Or, 'I’m feeling a little anxious about something, and I just need some reassurance.' It's terrifying, I know, because it requires you to be completely open. But that vulnerability can actually strengthen a relationship far more than any secret phone check ever could. Instead of searching through messages, search for understanding. If there's a specific concern, bring it up directly. If there's a pattern of behavior that's making you suspicious, address the behavior, not just the potential evidence on a screen. Sometimes, just having an open dialogue about boundaries, privacy, and what makes each person feel secure can prevent a lot of heartache. Maybe it's agreeing to share certain things, or just consistently communicating your whereabouts. Ultimately, rebuilding or establishing trust is a two-way street. It requires both partners to be honest, transparent where appropriate, and committed to making the other feel safe and respected. If you're constantly feeling the urge to check, it might be a sign that there are deeper issues in the relationship that need to be addressed, perhaps even with professional help. It’s about building a foundation where that question, 'DO YOU GO THROUGH YOUR PARTNERS PHONE?', doesn't even enter your mind because you feel truly secure. What steps have you taken to build trust in your own relationships?

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ON GOING THROUGH PHONES?
Let me say this, in previous relationships I was guilty of this act, but with my current relationship I do not. I realized that going through someone's phone isn't going to stop them from doing wrong. I feel that if you trust that person, you have no reason to go through their phone. And if

Spend over 10K on iPhones & I'm not regret it
I basically get the newest iPhone every year. Here’s the thing, I never do trade-ins. My used phones, they’re mine, plain and simple. I’d rather stash them in a drawer and even take a peek now and then to revisit those old memories than hand them over. Trade-ins just scream privacy risks to me.
