Salem Day 3
Hello humans!
This morning was cold but not as cold as yesterday. My humans stayed in until around 10:30, then went to breakfast (without me! but I got back at them this morning by demanding breakfast at 2am). They got coffee and chai and split something called spanakopita (it has spinach in it, blech) and koulouri with chocolate (again, something sweet! cats can't taste sweet, so why bother?)
After that, they went to some stores. They said their favorite was called The Coven's Cottage. It had a lot of plants hanging from the ceiling. I'll bet it would probably be fun to be the shop cat there!
Then they came home and told me about their morning, brushed me and played with me, and looked at a book they got with recipes from haunted places all around the country.
Then they went somewhere called Gulu Gulu for lunch. Primary human got something called an Acadian Driftwood to drink and an impossible burger (I guess it doesn't have a picture because it's so impossible it doesn't exist!). Why she chooses not to eat meat sometimes is a mystery to me... Secondary human got a chickpea wrap. They said the atmosphere was really nice, and the food was good. They give it an 8/10.
Then they went to what used to be something called a bank that humans store money in... Now it's a shop and coffee place called Blackcraft. The store is really nice, and there are all these lovely black clothes I could shed on. There was even a statue of my good friend Krampus! And look at that big witch! I'd love to be the cat sitting on her broomstick. look how high it is, I could be taller than everyone!
After that, they came home to read and play with me some more before going to dinner at Finz on the warf. PH got a Fig Tree to drink (she keeps going on about how tasty it is, so maybe she'll shut up about it now), and a seafoood soup (and a salad but i dont care about rabbit food). SH got an elderberry drink, chowder (finally some dairy and fish - my kind of meal), and stuffed haddock. They told me the food was really good, but the place was busier than when they came here without me in the busy season! Also, they got seated at a small and tall table that made them both feel claustrophobic with all the people passing by, and SH didn't have those silver things humans eat with for a while... it wasn't a great look all around. They said they went into it expecting to give a 9 or a 10/10 but could only give a 7/10 this time around.
After coming home, they got the TV working, and we all watched the last episode of Stranger Things. PH worked on her new catigan (any guesses who the purple cat is?), and they rang in the new year by giving me so many kisses I felt smothered!
I think they'll be home a good deal tomorrow with it being what they call the 1st of the year. I guess humans like to stay home that day.
