ถ้าชอบฝึกภาษาอังกฤษจาก “ซีนหนัง” แบบเรา แนะนำให้ทำเป็นขั้นตอน จะได้ทั้งสำเนียงและการใช้คำให้เป็นธรรมชาติค่ะ (Notting Hill เป็นรอมคอมยุค 90s ที่บทสนทนาดีมาก) 1) ฝึกตามซีนให้ได้ “จังหวะ” ก่อนความเป๊ะ เวลาเจอประโยคสั้นๆ อย่าง “Do you want my phone number?” กับคำตอบ “Tempting.” ให้โฟกัสที่น้ำเสียงด้วยค่ะ คำว่า tempting ในซีนนี้ไม่ได้แปลว่า “เย้ายวน” แบบจริงจังเสมอไป แต่เป็นฟีล “น่าสนใจนะ / ก็ชวนคิดอยู่” อาจจะติดขำหรือกวนๆ นิดๆ ได้ ตัวอย่างที่เอาไปใช้ได้: - A: Want to grab coffee later? B: Tempting. - That dessert looks tempting. 2) วลีทำงานที่เจอบ่อย: get paid ในซีนที่ถามว่า “What did you get paid?” เป็นการถามค่าตอบแทน/ค่าจ้างแบบตรงๆ แต่ในชีวิตจริงอาจใช้ให้สุภาพขึ้นได้ เช่น - How much do you get paid per hour? - Do you get paid overtime? ทริค: get paid = “ได้รับเงิน” (เน้นการได้รับ) ส่วน pay = “จ่ายเงิน” (คนละมุม) 3) โครงสร้างเล่าเรื่อง: a series of วลี “I’ve had a series of …” ใช้เล่าเหตุการณ์ต่อเนื่องหลายครั้ง ฟังดูเป็นธรรมชาติมากเวลาเล่าประสบการณ์ ตัวอย่าง: - I’ve had a series of bad days. - We had a series of meetings last week. 4) คำช่วยปรับระดับความหมาย: relatively relatively แปลประมาณว่า “ค่อนข้าง / เมื่อเทียบกับ…” ช่วยให้ประโยคดูนุ่มนวล ไม่ฟันธงเกินไป - It’s relatively cheap compared to others. - I’m relatively new here. 5) วลีอารมณ์แรงแต่ใช้ได้จริง: cast aside cast aside คือ “ถูกเมิน/ถูกทิ้ง” แบบให้ความรู้สึกโดนปัดไปพ้นทาง ใช้ได้ทั้งเชิงความสัมพันธ์และงาน - I felt cast aside when they ignored my idea. - Don’t cast aside your goals. 6) ฝึกพูดจากซีนหนังให้เห็นผล (วิธีที่เราชอบทำ) - ฟัง 1 รอบแบบไม่ดูซับ จับอารมณ์ - ฟังอีกรอบดูซับอังกฤษ จดคำเด็ด (เช่น tempting, get paid, a series of, relatively, cast aside) - พูดตามทีละประโยค (shadowing) 3 รอบ: ช้า-ปกติ-เร็ว - เปลี่ยนคำในประโยคให้เข้ากับชีวิตเรา 2-3 ประโยค จะจำได้นานกว่า ส่วนใครที่ค้นหาวลี “surreal but nice” (ฟีลประโยคชมแบบแปลกๆ แต่ดี) แนะนำใช้เวลาจะบอกว่าอะไร “เหนือจริงแต่ดีงาม” เช่น - This place is surreal but nice. - The whole day felt surreal but nice. ลองฝึกจากซีนเดิมทุกวันแค่ 5-10 นาที จะรู้สึกว่าพูดลื่นขึ้นแบบไม่ต้องท่องเยอะเลยค่ะ
