The initial resistance, such as locking looms and blocking access, highlights how deeply personal and valuable this traditional craft is to them. However, by integrating fragmented memories and reconstructing the full process, modern workshops led by committed individuals can not only preserve but also innovate the craft. Offering adequate compensation, acknowledging the cultural importance, and demonstrating transparent business models are crucial to gain trust. Furthermore, projects like visiting related institutions such as schools for the deaf and mute can inspire inclusive ways to pass on traditions and sustain the craft. It reminds us that heritage preservation is not just about techniques but about people and communities. This journey to revive the Yunjin Luminous weave sets an important example of how ancient crafts can be revitalized amid modern challenges.
