My Vibe
~*Ephemeral Midnight Melodies*~
i sit with myself, just as i am.
i don’t need to perform.
i keep what feels real~ my laugh, my calm, my small moments.
i am allowed to change.
i am allowed to grow.
i welcome kindness in my thoughts.
i make peace with what’s passed.
i let the right people stay,
and release the rest.
i do not shrink.
i belong here.
being with myself is not lonely ~
it is home.
Spending meaningful time with yourself is a journey that many of us undertake at various points in our lives. From my own experience, it starts with acceptance. Learning to sit quietly and appreciate your own presence—without the pressure to perform or impress—feels like opening a door to a warm, calming space within. It’s in these moments that our true essence shines. One vivid memory I recall is the discovery of my genuine laugh and small joys that often go unnoticed during busy days. As time went on, I realized that welcoming kindness in my thoughts helped soften old wounds and allowed me to forgive both myself and others. Making peace with the past became a turning point, enabling me to release what no longer served me and cherish the relationships that truly mattered. Much like the image recognition phrases suggest—"Room feels right," "Gigglin', chucklin', laugh," and "Best company in here, yep, that's me"—there is something magical about feeling at home in your own space and self. I found that embracing change and growth didn't diminish my identity but instead enhanced my authenticity. It’s a reminder that we do not need to shrink or hide; we belong exactly where we are. Being alone does not have to equate to loneliness. Instead, it can manifest as a comforting, nurturing experience—a chance to recharge and reconnect. Living in "living room mode" as opposed to a "showroom" means choosing genuine, unfiltered moments over curated appearances. Incorporating these realizations into daily life transforms how we relate to ourselves and others. It allows for more compassion, patience, and a clearer understanding of our own vibe. Whether you’re navigating change or simply seeking calm, sitting with yourself as you are is the foundation for true contentment.
