✈️ Airport passenger vetting procedures have changed.
From * * July 1, 2026 * * onwards, the Hand Held Metal Detector will be discontinued * * and the new vetting standard will be applied to enhance the safety requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
📌 What passengers should know.
✅ Walk Through Metal Detector or Body Scanner
✅ If the alarm is not found, it can continue to travel normally.
⚠️ If the machine detects a malfunction, the officer will perform a Pat Down Search * * instead of using a hand-held metal detector.
👮♂️ The raids will be conducted by trained officers in accordance with international standards, with courtesy, decency and respect for the rights of passengers.
💡 If there is a travel plan after July 1, it is recommended to allow time to pass through security checkpoints and follow the instructions of the authorities to ensure a smooth journey.
