It's been so heartwarming to see more and more of you connect with my posts, and I really wanted to peel back another layer and share more about the person behind the screen. Beyond the quick facts, there's a whole world of passions and experiences that shape who I am and what I love to share here. My academic path is a huge part of my life, diving deep into molecular and cellular biology. It's not just about textbooks; there's a profound fascination with how life works at its most fundamental level. The idea of understanding DNA and cells, and how they influence everything from our health to our identity, truly captivates me. My dream of pursuing a PhD in epigenetics isn't just a career goal; it's a desire to contribute to clinical research, to be part of discoveries that can genuinely improve lives. Even now, getting hands-on experience with epigenetics research at college is incredibly exciting. It's challenging, yes, but there's a unique thrill in each experiment, each piece of data, knowing it could lead to something meaningful. Outside of the lab, my interests are a blend of nostalgia, creativity, and self-expression. You might have seen me mention things like Monster High, Sanrio, and Squishmallows – these aren't just childhood relics for me! They're sources of comfort, creativity, and connection. Monster High, for instance, with its message of embracing your unique self, really resonates. Sanrio and Squishmallows bring a sense of gentle joy and whimsy into my day-to-day. And Animal Crossing? It's my go-to for unwinding, a peaceful escape where I can build and explore at my own pace. Then there are my more introspective interests like new age spirituality and paganism, which offer a different lens through which to view the world and my place in it. Creative journaling and tattoos are my ways of expressing my inner world outwardly, marking moments and beliefs on my canvas of life. And yes, a good romance, fantasy, or sci-fi book is always a welcome adventure! Sharing my journey, especially around sexuality and gender identity, is incredibly important to me. It's a continuous process of discovery and authenticity, and I believe in creating a space where everyone feels seen and supported. I'm looking forward to exploring and sharing more about my path, including upcoming experiences like starting HRT, which feels like a significant step in aligning my inner and outer self.
