Getting Stuck In Dreams : The Paranormal
What is the scariest dream you’ve had?
The scariest one I had was when I was a young child.
In the dream I was at my grandmothers house, up in the attic. It was a large room that had this old tan carpet, big brown walls that led to a pointed ceiling, and steep stairs that led to the 1st floor.
Me and my friend were at the top of the stairs playing when she had fallen down the steps. I had ran down to her (for this story we will call her Kiya), and said “Kiya are you okay”, her girlish cry turned into a deep laugh then she said “I’m not kiya” and looked at me, the face I had knew before was now ripped from her eyebrow to her chin and in the darkness I could see a red eye.
I start running to get out of the house but once I opened the door I was in my schools cafeteria.
The color scheme was white and blue and it looked pristine. At all of the tables were multiple black eyed children dressed in black and white suits.
I walked up to one of them and asked where I was and he told me to be quiet that they “would hear me”, But I didn’t listen and kept trying to get answers.
Then a loud alarm blared through the whole cafeteria.
All the children looked at me and hissed before the same child said “look at what you did. RUN..RUNNNNN” this run continued to echo through the hallway I was running through.
I couldn’t see what was behind me but, I could feel it. Somehow I managed to get to my bathroom at home and I grabbed onto the towel rack, I thought I was safe but then I felt hands grab my waist and throw me, before I hit the ground I woke up.
I know it doesn’t sound to crazy but, this was the dream that had started my sleep paralysis struggles that lasted for years and is the reason I have a hard time sleeping on my back.
Sometimes I just wonder what tf I got into and what would’ve happened if I had just been quiet.
Dreams can often feel overwhelmingly vivid, as highlighted by the author's chilling experience that straddles the line between reality and the paranormal. Many individuals encounter mysterious phenomena during sleep, including sleep paralysis, a state where one is temporarily unable to move or speak while falling asleep or waking up. This condition can be frightening, often accompanied by hallucinations that can be both visual and auditory. The mind's ability to create intense and fearful scenarios may stem from stress, anxiety, and disrupted sleep patterns. Moreover, some people explore the connection between dreams and the paranormal, positing that our dreams may be gateways to unexplained experiences. The phenomenon of “black-eyed children”, mentioned in the author's dream, has become a modern urban legend, with reports suggesting encounters with children who exhibit eerie behavior and unsettling appearances. For those interested in understanding their own dream experiences, it's helpful to keep a dream journal, which can aid in identifying patterns or recurring themes. Moreover, learning about the stages of sleep, particularly REM sleep, can enhance one’s understanding of how dreams are formed. As you delve deeper into your own dreams, consider exploring techniques such as lucid dreaming, which can transform a nightmare into a more manageable experience. Engaging in mindfulness or relaxation techniques before bed may also mitigate the intensity of distressing dreams. Understanding your dreams can be a powerful tool in navigating your mental landscape and gaining insights into your subconscious mind.
