Another book I’ve read this summer
I keep seeing this book everywhere and maybe it’s just me but I didn’t find it as good as what others claim it to be. It was def. Cute and so beautiful! I think it was directed more towards Gen Z? I’m a millennial. I liked it but I wouldn’t read it again. 3/5 ⭐️ #summerdiary #lemon8contest #lgbtqbooks #book #books #BookReview #booksoflemon8 #reading #read #lgbtq
This summer, several books have gained traction, but one stands out among readers, 'Red, White & Royal Blue' by Casey McQuiston. This contemporary romantic comedy explores identity, love, and belonging, resonating particularly with Gen Z and millennials. The book's charm lies in its relatable characters and witty dialogue, making it a fun yet thought-provoking read. For those interested in LGBTQ+ narratives, it’s a must-try as it beautifully tackles themes of love amidst political chaos. Despite its acclaim, some readers feel a disconnect, reflecting personal tastes influenced by generational differences. This illustrates how subjective reading experiences can be, often leading to varied opinions on the same work. If you're exploring summer reads or looking for LGBTQ+ books that spark conversation, consider adding this to your list, but keep in mind its appeal may vary. Happy reading!
