From my experience as a stay-at-home mom, tackling toy clutter can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into manageable steps really helps. Start by sorting toys into categories: keep, donate, and discard. This makes the process less daunting and more organized. One method I found useful is involving your kids in the clean-out. It teaches them responsibility and gives them ownership of their space. You can make it fun by turning it into a game or setting a timer to see how much they can sort in 15 minutes. Additionally, consider storage solutions like bins, shelves, or clear containers so toys are easier to find and put away. Labeling these containers also speeds up clean up and keeps things orderly. Since the toy clean out, I’ve noticed a big difference in the overall feel of the play area—less stress and more enjoyment. Plus, being proactive by planning to declutter my closet next keeps the momentum going for a more organized home. Decluttering not only improves physical space but also mental clarity, making daily routines smoother and more enjoyable.
