Weight Loss Milestone Progress
Losing weight has been a struggle for me my whole life—even though it began with unrealistic expectations and comparisons of my body to other girls’ bodies. I feel like my whole life I have had to fight tooth and nail for my weight and especially my mental health. The world is different for skinny people. The world is harder if you’re in a bigger body, whether or not you are healthy anyway. So, look at the chart—you will see tons of little ups and downs, but 150lbs are gone now. I am so thankful for everything and everyone who has gotten me this far and helping me continue to reach my goals.

My journey to losing 150 pounds has truly been a marathon, not a sprint, and I've learned so much about what it means to genuinely pursue healthy living and overall wellbeing. It’s not just about the numbers on the scale; it’s about transforming your entire relationship with yourself and your body. For anyone else on a similar path, I want to share some insights that have really helped me navigate the ups and downs. Firstly, understanding that weight loss is deeply tied to mental health was a huge breakthrough for me. There were days when the motivation just wasn't there, or when I felt overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the goal. What helped was shifting my focus from perfection to progress. I learned to be incredibly kind to myself during those challenging moments, recognizing that self-compassion is just as important as discipline. Building a strong support system, whether it’s friends, family, or even an online community, can make all the difference when you need a boost. One of the most powerful tools I discovered was consistent tracking and celebrating every single milestone, no matter how small. My tracking chart might show lots of little fluctuations, but seeing that overall downward trend from 355 lbs to 205 lbs has been incredibly motivating. It's not just about weight; I tracked my moods, my energy levels, and even non-scale victories like fitting into old clothes or having more stamina. This holistic approach really highlights the 'journeywell' aspect. Celebrating these victories, like reaching 100 lbs lost or even just completing a challenging workout, kept me going. It’s a pat on the back that reminds you how far you’ve come. Visualizing my weight loss progression through before-and-after photos and mirror selfies became another crucial motivator. I literally took pictures along the way, even when I didn't feel great about myself. Looking back at those images, seeing the significant transformation from 355 lbs to 250 lbs, then 220 lbs, and ultimately a 150 lb difference, provided undeniable proof of my hard work. These aren't just vanity shots; they're powerful reminders of resilience and dedication. It's incredible how much a visual comparison can fuel your determination. For healthy living, I focused on sustainable changes rather than restrictive diets. It was about finding enjoyable ways to move my body and nourishing it with wholesome foods. I stopped viewing certain foods as 'bad' and instead aimed for balance and mindful eating. Small, consistent efforts compound over time, leading to incredible results. Remember, the goal isn't just to lose weight, but to cultivate a lifestyle that supports your wellbeing long-term. This journey has taught me patience, perseverance, and the profound joy of reclaiming my health one step at a time.
