His favorite napping spot is back ❤️
What do you think this sweet little kitten boy is dreaming about? Tell me in the comments!
And by kitten, I mean 23 pound, 4 year old Maine Coon cat #catsoflemon8
He never comes up stairs during the day, not until his kid comes home at the earliest. He's happy to nap downstairs while the dog (not his favorite being in the house) is velcroed to my side all day long.
When his favorite human of all comes home (my husband) then he really comes out of wherever he was napping, but generally wont be found in this particular room until we are sitting chatting before bed.
While he loves the tree, he didn't give it too much attention until I put down my hand sewn tree skirt that he adores last night.
Actually there was a bit of a turf battle between our cats last night on said skirt after I had rewashed it to get all of their fur off of it from last year (they are fluffy and apparently I was in a hurry to take things down last year and didn't quality check things well enough).
Is it a bit frustrating knowing that I will have to double wash this again soon?
I guess....
But it's an honor that two beautiful beings such as our cats love something that I made as much as they do.
As I am typing this he is making the sweetest little sleep sounds a few feet away and it warms my heart.
No gift needed for these boys this year, I'm pretty sure they have everything they need already!
I bet he's dreaming of gifts from small businesses like mine though, especially ones that are edible, he loves snacks!
What do you think he's dreaming about?
He told me to remind you to #shopsmall while I have you. Okay, love y'all ✌🏻
In the world of pets, sleep is an essential part of their daily lives. Cats, particularly Maine Coons, can sleep up to 16 hours a day, showcasing their laid-back lifestyle. These gentle giants are known for their playful demeanor and affectionate nature, making them a popular choice among pet lovers. Their ideal napping spots often change based on comfort and security. It's common to see them curling up on cozy blankets or near their favorite humans. Moreover, the Maine Coon's unique ability to bond with its owner makes them special companions. Cats dream just like humans, with REM sleep being a crucial stage where they might be dreaming of chasing toys, exploring, or even snuggling. Understanding your pet’s sleeping habits can enhance your bond and ensure they feel loved and secure. While it may sometimes be a hassle to maintain clean sleeping spaces, the joy and companionship these pets provide can make any struggle worthwhile. Seeing them enjoy what you've created, like a hand-sewn tree skirt, solidifies the bond you share. Plus, don't forget to support local businesses that offer quality items for your furry friends, as they too deserve special treats. A well-thought-out sleeping environment not only contributes to their comfort, but it also keeps them engaging with their surroundings, resulting in a happy and playful pet.
