Need advice :< !!✨🍋

I’ve always had a hard time not taking things too personal when it comes to work. I’m a woman that works in a male dominated career field. My job isn’t bad, it’s just the people i work with. I can’t leave my job because it’s a signed contract :( I don’t have this issue when it comes to my life outside of work in general. I just feel like i’m treated as inferior at work. I’m not even new in my job anymore yet i still get treated like i’m dumb. My family and friends suggested that i just don’t take things personally at work. But i have a hard time not taking things personally. You see my dilemma? I’ve tried doing things that make me happy outside of work. Yet the moment i come back to work, someone always ruins my mood then i become unhappy again. I understand and am fully aware that i was the one to put myself in this position. I just never expected it to be this miserable. I just want to learn to overcome being less sensitive in my job. Any tips???

... Read moreNavigating workplace challenges, especially in male-dominated fields, can be incredibly tough. Many women experience feeling undervalued or treated unfairly despite their expertise. It's essential to cultivate resilience and emotional intelligence to manage these feelings effectively. Start by identifying your triggers—understanding what situations or interactions lead to heightened sensitivity can empower you to respond differently. Communicate openly with coworkers when possible, as fostering dialogue can sometimes reveal misunderstandings and improve relationships. Consider seeking mentorship from women who have successfully navigated similar environments, as they can provide guidance and support. Additionally, engaging in activities that bolster your self-esteem outside of work, such as hobbies or personal projects, can help reinforce your confidence in the workplace. It's also valuable to practice mindfulness and stress-relief techniques. Whether through meditation, yoga, or simply taking breaks when overwhelmed, these practices can help ground you emotionally. Keep in mind that you're not alone; there are communities and online resources devoted to women’s empowerment in professional settings. Connecting with others who share your experiences can offer comfort and practical strategies for dealing with workplace stress.

You’re not sensitive or emotional. You’re in touch with ur emotions and whatever hurts you hurts you. That’s not sensitive

I feel the less people I deal with the more overstimulated I get. for example I stay home 2 days, the 3rd day standing in like at the grocery store will bother me. but if I consecutively socialize I get less irritated.
