How to price out a UGC video 💸💕
Knowing how to price your content is CRUCIAL to success! When I first started out, I was charging as low as $50 per video and was working really hard & spending a lot of time on content I was barely receiving compensation for…
I charge different for UGC vs sponsored posts for many reasons:
- I only have 5k on Instagram compared to brands having thousands/ hundreds of thousands
- UGC content is more likely to sell brands products
- brands have full usage rights to content (I usually charge more for this depending on length of usage brand is looking for)
At the end of the day, it’s up to you what you charge brands. Just remember, if you’re serious about UGC, free won’t pay the bills 💸

Pricing your User-Generated Content (UGC) videos can be a game-changer in building a sustainable career. It's important to understand the nuance between UGC and sponsored posts. While UGC is about creating content that resonates with audiences and promotes products authentically, sponsored posts may focus more on brand guidelines and advertising goals. A great starting point is to determine your base rates according to your target audience and the platform's reach. For instance, setting a minimum of $150 for brand partnerships and $200 for UGC posted on brands' socials ensures you're valuing your work appropriately. Additionally, being transparent about the rights brands have to use your content is crucial. This often involves longer-term usage agreements, which should be reflected in your pricing. As more brands recognize the value of UGC in converting sales, your experience and credibility can lead to higher rates. Remember, every piece of content you create should represent not just your creativity, but also your worth as a content creator. Striking the right balance between competitive pricing and the quality of your work could set you apart in this burgeoning space.
