💭 I did like this one better than book one. I think it’s probably the tropes. Although this one was more predictable, it did have me pulled in more. It gives you little morsels where you just keep coming back for more bites of information. It has the whole motorcycle thing, with the mafia romance vibe on the side too. Of course some forbidden romance. It was spicier IMO too. I also just preferred the MMC more. I mean I will take both brothers lol, BUT if I HAVE to choose I prefer this one. Even if he is more of a golden retriever type. Although Im still saying bad boys cant be gold retrievers IMO, they need their own little name ffs. Again as I have to say (I feel like a broken record at this point) check the TWs.

💬 This Contemporary Romance is book 2 in The Redemption Hills series. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. There is spice in this book, and the spicy scenes are descriptive. The book moves at a steady pace starting with Salems car broken down in a rain storm, when Jud stops to help. Salems running from her past with her daughter, and is only in town because of her brother. Jud carries his own dark secrets that haunt him as well. When the pull thats been there since theyve met becomes too much they give in to their desires, only for their pasts to come crashing between them. This is an intense emotional, and suspenseful.

... Read moreStepping into the world of A.L. Jackson’s ‘Say It’s Forever’ was an absolute journey, and honestly, I found myself completely captivated by this installment in The Redemption Hills series. While the original review touched on the core elements, there’s so much more to unpack, especially for those of you looking for a truly turbulent romance with deep personal redemption arcs, as hinted at in some of the search queries. Let's talk about the spice level first, because I know many of you are curious! This book definitely brings the heat, earning its 🌶️🌶️🌶️ rating. The spicy scenes aren't just thrown in for shock value; they’re incredibly descriptive and serve to deepen the emotional connection and forbidden tension between Salem and Jud. It’s the kind of spice that perfectly complements the raw, intense emotions driving their story, making their pull undeniable and their moments together truly electric. The forbidden romance aspect is where this book truly shines. Salem, a single mom on the run with a secret past, and Jud, haunted by his own dark secrets within the motorcycle club, are a match made in narrative heaven. Their connection is palpable from the moment Jud stops to help Salem with her broken-down car in a rainstorm. It’s a classic setup that quickly unravels into something much more complex and dangerous. The secrets they both carry create a constant undercurrent of suspense, making every interaction fraught with unspoken desires and potential peril. What I particularly loved was the exploration of personal redemption. Both characters are deeply flawed and carry significant burdens. Salem is fiercely protective of her daughter and desperate to escape her past, while Jud is grappling with his own demons and the responsibilities that come with his lifestyle. Their journey isn't about instant fixes, but a slow, often painful, process of confronting their truths and finding solace and strength in each other. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that highlights the healing power of love amidst chaotic circumstances. The motorcycle club vibe adds another layer of grit and excitement to the story. It’s not just a backdrop; it’s intrinsically woven into Jud’s character and the challenges they face. This element, combined with the mafia romance undertones, gave the story an edgy, dangerous appeal that kept me turning pages. A.L. Jackson has a way of crafting characters that feel incredibly real—even the golden retriever types with a dark side! The intensity and suspense are masterfully built, ensuring you’re hooked from start to finish. Even the visual presentation of the book, hinted at by its cover, tells a story. The dark blue floral designs, paired with the elegant light blue script for the title, and the scattered dried yellow rose petals, evoke a sense of melancholic beauty and underlying passion. It perfectly captures the blend of darkness, vulnerability, and enduring hope found within Salem and Jud’s turbulent romance. If you’re a fan of deeply emotional, forbidden love stories with plenty of spice, suspense, and characters fighting for their redemption, 'Say It’s Forever' needs to be on your TBR list!
