💭First, why am I not hearing more about this book?! No, I am dead serious. Why are people not talking about this book more?! There are so many academia paranormal romances (or romantasies) out there being talked about (I’ve read a few), and this one is honestly one of the best. It is quick-paced and interesting! Is it the super slow burn romance holding it back? Maybe. But sometimes the romance is worth the wait! I am definitely someone who will give my opinion if I’m unsatisfied if the romance is lacking, and this one wasn’t for me. This book has zodiac academy vibes just lighter and with just witches (minus the bully aspect too, obviously). The audiobook is done so well too! It’s in a duet style, and I loved it. It was so easy to get lost in the book! I highly recommend this book to romantasy/paranormal romance academia lovers. It’s not overly complex to the point someone new to the genre can’t follow along, but also complex enough that those of us used to the genre are still hooked.
💬This paranormal romance is book 1 in the Weatherstone College series. The romance in this book is enemies to lovers. There is some open door spice in this book. With her powers awakening, Paisley gets to college only to learn her family’s enemy is attending too. College was supposed to help her find out her powers; instead, she finds a dark power awakening in the school, and the only person she can run to is her enemy. Paisley’s enemy has his own secrets that she can’t help but question if he really is her enemy or not.
