✨The Review is posted above but I will go ahead and post it here as well for ease of reading

💭 So this book is good, but I’m going to start by saying this book will not be for everyone. I know the romance genre book community, and I know that they will rip this book apart if they do not read the TWs before going in. I’m going to make this very clear so this author doesn’t get a bad review she doesn’t deserve. This entire book revolves around an affair. So yes, there is cheating, and it is the MCs. I will leave it at that because I am not a fan of giving away spoilers. I just would hate seeing this author’s book being ripped apart because it set people off. I am not someone who is triggered, and I kind of had to take some deep breaths. This book may be healing to someone who’s been cheated on, or it may absolutely destroy them. There also is a presence of religious pressure in the book. So also take that into consideration. The book itself is extremely emotional and enjoyable if you can handle the triggers. I was torn between wanting to watch a relationship blossom and going, “Oh my goodness, no.” Then the ending kind of tore me apart. I wasn’t really surprised in all honesty, but it didn’t mean it didn’t hurt. The book is very realistic IMO, and honestly, that is why even for me I did have areas that were harder to read (not because it was bad, but because I was struggling emotionally). The book is fairly spicy as well, but not overly so. I do recommend this book for sure, just to the right readers.

💬 This contemporary romance is book 1 in The Landlord Series. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. The book is spicy with open door spice. Sarah rents a building for her doggy grooming business with her mom. Her landlord, Spencer, is 11 years older than her, hot, and married like her. She can’t get him off her mind. Harmless flirting leads into dangerous temptations they both should resist, especially if someone could be watching.

... Read moreOkay, so let's really delve into the feel of 'Entanglement' because, honestly, that's what truly resonates long after you've turned the last page. When I first picked it up, I was intrigued by the promise of a spicy contemporary romance, but L.L. Loveland delivers so much more. This isn't just a story; it's an emotional deep dive that makes you genuinely feel the entanglement Sarah finds herself in. It’s a masterclass in portraying internal conflict, showing the intense pull of forbidden attraction against the heavy weight of vows and societal expectations. You’ll experience the rush of their connection, the guilt that gnaws at Sarah, and the desperate longing for something she knows she shouldn't want. The author doesn't shy away from the messy, complicated reality of human emotions, which makes the story incredibly immersive and relatable, even when the circumstances are challenging. The queries about 'age of entanglement' caught my eye, and it's definitely a nuanced element in this story. While Spencer is 11 years older than Sarah, it’s not just a superficial age gap. It adds a layer of maturity and different life experiences to their forbidden connection. Spencer, as a landlord, holds a certain position of perceived stability, yet he's just as tangled in his own commitments. This age difference subtly amplifies the intensity and perceived risk of their affair. It makes you ponder how our life stages and previous decisions dictate our present choices, and how difficult it is to break free from paths we've 'agreed to too young,' as the synopsis mentions. It’s not just about physical attraction; it's about finding a kindred spirit who sees parts of you that have been hidden, regardless of age or circumstance. And for those searching about 'cheating' in romance, perhaps even referencing 'Lexi Bloom cheating boyfriend' or similar scenarios, 'Entanglement' tackles infidelity head-on. While Lexi Bloom isn't a character in this book, the central theme of Sarah and Spencer's affair is explored with raw honesty. This book doesn’t idealize cheating; instead, it meticulously dissects the 'why' and the profound consequences. It delves into the unraveling of Sarah's marriage to Dominic, highlighting the cracks and secrets that led her heart to stray. It also explores Spencer's own complex situation. The author does an incredible job of presenting the moral ambiguity, making you question your own judgments and pushing you to empathize with characters making incredibly difficult, often self-destructive, choices. It’s a powerful exploration of loyalty, sin, and the pursuit of personal happiness, even at a great cost. The beautiful yet precarious image of the couple kissing on the cover, surrounded by white candles and red rose petals, perfectly captures the delicate, hidden, and potentially destructive nature of their passionate connection. It's a book that truly makes you reflect on the intricate, often painful, dance between desire and duty.
