💭 I loved this book, and I think it was a great ending to Sadie’s story. From what I’ve seen researching the series, I think the story will continue on in the world with other characters featured in this book… but this sadly is the end for these characters to be the MCs, which sucks because I’m not sure I was ready to let them go. The book definitely wrapped their story up, don’t get me wrong, I just wanted more. Anyways, the audiobook is amazing, which wasn’t much of a surprise for me. I kind of expected it to be with the way due to the way Jasmine Mas writes and the cast (and I do mean cast because there are more than 2!) of narrators she chose for the audiobook. As well as the fact that the audiobook is done in a duet style narration. The REALLY ups the quality instantly with audiobooks when they are done in this style. For me at least, it helps me get lost more into story with them. Was this book everything I had hoped for? That and more. I personally love the dark, sarcastic humor Jasmine Mas writes, and adding it in with the angst from the trials/tests that caused strain/pressure on their relationships was really great. I felt myself all in my feels on this one. I also liked how family played more of a part in this book, and I mean more so of the one you make. I also felt like there were some bombs dropped that kind of had me going, “ TF?!” The whole mafia vibes the book had going on was cool and unexpected. Really 10/10 for me on this one. I will continue to pick up Jasmine Mas books, especially done in audiobook form! I haven’t found one I didn’t love yet.
