Hey Lemon8 fam! ✨ So many of you have asked about my full morning routine, especially how I manage to look put-together for work without spending hours. While my original post covered the quick makeup, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the entire 'Get Ready With Me' experience, focusing on skincare and tips that are great for everyone, even if you’re just starting out or want a super natural vibe (thinking of my younger Lemon8 friends here!). For me, a great makeup look truly starts with great skin. So, before I even think about foundation or blush, I dedicate a few quick minutes to a simple skincare routine. After a gentle cleanse, my absolute non-negotiable is a good, hydrating moisturizer. I look for one that sinks in quickly and creates a smooth canvas, not one that feels heavy or greasy. This step not only nourishes my skin but also helps my makeup apply flawlessly and last longer. If it's daytime, a broad-spectrum SPF is always next! Protecting your skin is key, and there are so many amazing lightweight formulas now that layer beautifully under makeup. Once my skin is prepped, I move onto my 'quick and easy' makeup. My goal for work is always to enhance, not cover up. Base: I usually start with a light layer of foundation or a tinted moisturizer. If I have any specific areas that need a little extra help, like under my eyes or a small blemish, I’ll gently tap on a creamy concealer with my ring finger or a small brush. The key is to blend, blend, blend! A damp beauty blender is my secret weapon for a seamless finish. Color & Warmth: Next up, a pop of color! I adore a cream blush for a natural, healthy flush – it just melts into the skin. Then, a touch of bronzer swept across my cheekbones, forehead, and jawline adds warmth and definition without looking too heavy. I often use a fluffy brush for this to keep it soft. Set & Finish: To ensure everything stays in place, especially in my T-zone, I’ll lightly dust some translucent powder. This helps control any shine throughout the day. Eyes & Lips: For eyes, a few swipes of mascara are usually all I need to open them up. Sometimes I’ll quickly fill in my brows with a gel. For lips, I love a hydrating lipstick in a nude or 'my lips but better' shade. It ties the whole look together and feels comfortable all day. This approach isn't just about speed; it's about creating a look that feels authentic and fresh.
