Pink Latte for your Valentine 💗
Pink Iced Latte
I try my best to avoid food dyes so to create this pink latte I’m using beetroot powder. Yes you heard it right 💗
I know you’re probably thinking this sounds disgusting but trust me when I tell you that you can’t even taste it. I use honey to sweeten it but you could also try a vanilla syrup as well. Just look at how pretty it turns out ☕️💕
Ingredients
2 shots of espresso
2 tsp honey
1 tsp beetroot powder
8 oz of milk of choice, I used oat milk
Ice
1. Combine 8 oz of milk of choice with 1 tsp of beetroot powder.
2. Mix together with a handheld frother to combine.
3. Pour ice into a separate glass.
4. Pour in your pink milk next.
5. Then combine 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso with 2 tsp of honey.
6. Pour espresso and honey into glass with ice and pink milk.

Hey everyone! So glad you're loving the idea of a beautiful pink latte. I wanted to share a few more tips and tricks I've picked up while making these, especially if you're keen on exploring different variations or just perfecting your brew! First off, let's talk about that amazing pink color. Using beetroot powder is my absolute secret weapon for a truly dye-free pink. I know some of you might be a little hesitant, thinking you'll taste beets in your coffee – trust me, I felt the same way at first! But with just 1 tsp beetroot powder (as in the recipe!), the earthy flavor completely disappears, especially when you mix together with milk and those rich espresso shots. It’s all about getting that vibrant pink milk without any artificial colors, which I think is a huge win for a healthier treat. Now, while my original recipe uses 2 tsp honey and 2 shots of espresso with oat milk, don't be afraid to experiment! If you're looking for different sweetness levels, vanilla syrup is a fantastic alternative, but you could also try a touch of maple syrup for a warmer note, or even a sugar-free sweetener if that's your preference. For those who enjoy a more floral hint, adding a tiny drop of food-grade rosewater to your milk mixture can elevate this drink into something truly special – perfect for a romantic vibe beyond just Valentine's Day, perhaps for a Galentine's brunch or a lovely self-care moment. And what about milk choices? Oat milk gives a wonderful creaminess, but almond milk offers a lighter texture, while soy milk can create a richer froth. If you're feeling adventurous, coconut milk can add a subtle tropical twist. The key is to find what you love best! One common question I get is about serving it hot. While my recipe is for an *iced pink latte*, you can absolutely enjoy this warm! Just gently heat your pink milk mixture on the stovetop (don't boil it!) before adding your espresso and sweetener. It’s just as comforting, especially on a chilly morning. For an extra touch of magic, don't forget the toppings! A swirl of whipped cream, a sprinkle of edible glitter, or even some freeze-dried raspberry powder can make your pink latte Instagram-ready. If you're aiming for that 'Hello Kitty' aesthetic that some of you are curious about, think about using a cute stencil with cocoa powder on top of your foam or serving it in a super adorable mug. Making this pink latte has become a little ritual for me, and I love how versatile it is. It's not just a drink; it's a mood booster, a little splash of joy in my day. Try these variations and let me know your favorites!
