Cherry Vanilla Cloud Dairy Free Smoothie
I just love a good smoothie packed with fruits and hidden superfoods! Like if I’m drinking a smoothie I’m putting all the good stuff in there!
I’m in love with these cloud smoothies so I’m using yogurt on my glass to give it the cloud effect! Make sure you have frozen cherries and bananas to create that smoothie texture. I wouldn’t recommend non frozen. More yogurt to go in the smoothie to add creaminess. Use water or milk of choice. I recommend almond milk if using milk. Then optionally add in almond butter for more creaminess and also it gives it more of a cookie flavor. And for extra fiber we’re adding flaxseed. Don’t worry it doesn’t make it taste wierd. Then add your vanilla protein powder! I’m using a plant based superfood protein by VitaHustle. Feel free to substitute if you don’t have it with another vanilla protein of your choice. Then it’s being topped off with cacao nibs for crunch but you could also do crushed granola!

1/2 frozen banana

Craving a delicious, healthy, and dairy-free treat? This Cherry Vanilla Cloud Smoothie isn’t just a pretty drink; it’s a powerhouse of nutrition that’s incredibly satisfying. Many of us are looking for dairy-free options, whether for dietary restrictions, health reasons, or just personal preference. And let me tell you, a non-dairy smoothie recipe like this one proves you don't have to sacrifice flavor or creaminess! Making a truly great dairy-free smoothie comes down to a few key tips. First, always use plenty of frozen fruit, just like the frozen cherries and banana in this recipe. They’re crucial for that thick, cold smoothie texture without needing ice, which can dilute the flavor. If your fruit isn't frozen, you might end up with a watery drink – and nobody wants that! For liquids, almond milk is a fantastic choice, offering a subtle nutty flavor that pairs wonderfully with vanilla and cherry. But feel free to experiment with coconut milk or oat milk for different flavor profiles and added creaminess. Now, let's talk about those 'hidden superfoods' and how to boost your fruit smoothie no dairy even further. Beyond the flaxseed for fiber and the Superfood Protein powder, consider adding a scoop of chia seeds for extra omega-3s and thickness, or a handful of spinach (you won't taste it, I promise!). For more healthy fats and an even richer texture, a quarter of an avocado or some cashew butter can work wonders. These ingredients help keep you fuller for longer, turning your smoothie into a more substantial snack or even a quick breakfast. The 'cloud' effect is what makes this cherry vanilla smoothie recipe so special and fun! It’s all about smearing a little yogurt strategically inside your glass before pouring in the smoothie. For a truly dairy-free version, make sure you're using a plant-based yogurt – coconut, almond, or oat yogurts all work beautifully. Don't be afraid to get creative with your smears; imperfect clouds are still charming! Once your smoothie is blended to perfection (ensure it's smooth and lump-free), carefully pour it into your prepared glass. The contrast of the vibrant cherry-vanilla smoothie against the white yogurt clouds is simply stunning. Finally, don't skimp on the toppings! The cacao nibs add a delightful crunch and a hint of chocolate, but crushed granola, shredded coconut, or even a few extra fresh cherries can elevate your smoothie experience. This isn't just about how to make smoothies without dairy; it's about crafting a delightful and nutritious experience that makes healthy eating enjoyable and exciting. Give this dairy-free cherry recipe a try, and you'll see why it's become a staple in my routine!
