Cherry Mocha
This cherry mocha is so good you have to give it a try. The flavor of cherry chocolate and coffee is divine!
All you need is a good mocha sauce, cherry syrup, espresso, and milk. I also love adding a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top but that’s optional. If you don’t have cherry syrup then check out my previous recipe for it! I’m using a dark chocolate sauce by KYYA but you can use whatever brand you have.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Okay, seriously, if you're looking for that perfect coffee shop vibe right in your kitchen, this homemade Cherry Mocha is an absolute game-changer! I first tried a cherry mocha at a local cafe and fell head over heels for the divine combination of sweet cherry, rich chocolate, and bold espresso. But let's be real, buying them daily adds up, so I perfected my own recipe, and now I have to share all my secrets with you! First off, let's chat about that cherry syrup. The recipe mentions my homemade version, and trust me, it makes all the difference! If you're feeling adventurous, you can easily make it by simmering 1 cup of pitted cherries (fresh or frozen) with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until thickened, then straining. Or, for a quick fix, a good quality store-bought cherry syrup works wonders too. Just look for one with natural flavors to get that authentic cherry flavor. Next up, the espresso – the heart of our mocha. The OCR mentioned 'Prep two shots of espresso' and 'Brew 2 shots of espresso.' For the best results, I always recommend using freshly ground beans. Paying attention to your 'GRIND AMOUNT' is key; a fine grind is perfect for espresso. I aim for a powerful, rich shot every time. If you don't have an espresso machine, a strong Moka pot coffee or even concentrated cold brew can be a decent substitute, though nothing truly beats fresh espresso. And the chocolate! While KYYA dark chocolate sauce is fantastic, don't be afraid to experiment. A good quality cocoa powder mixed with a little hot water can also create a lovely chocolate base. I find that a darker chocolate really complements the sweetness of the cherry, creating a more sophisticated flavor profile for your dark cherry mocha. Now, for the milk. 'Steam milk' is crucial for that creamy texture. If you don't have a steamer, a French press can froth milk beautifully, or even just vigorously shaking warm milk in a jar. And don't be shy about trying different milks! Oat milk or almond milk can add their own unique notes while keeping it dairy-free. Thinking beyond the hot version? This Cherry Mocha is incredible as an iced cherry mocha too! Just combine your syrup, chocolate, and espresso, then pour over ice and top with cold milk. For an extra treat, you could even try making a cherry cold foam by blending cold milk with a tiny bit of cherry syrup until it’s frothy, then spooning it over your iced drink. It’s a total game-changer for summer! Finally, don't forget the finishing touch: 'Sprinkle cocoa on top.' A little dusting of cocoa or cacao powder not only looks pretty but adds another layer of chocolatey goodness. It's these little details that elevate your homemade coffee experience. I hope you enjoy crafting this delicious cherry mocha drink as much as I do – it’s truly a little cup of happiness!
