alright I'm using this like an art page till further notice. here's my current MHA oc Twist who I have shipped with Bakugou. she's your typical class 1a add on oc who gets adopted by mic and Aizawa cause I wanted one.

so she comes in around season 3 and 4 right as bakugou in Canon is starting to grow and she dives right in desperately needing somebody she can be her whole self with. IE get angry and show any other range of emotions outside of people pleaser. so these 2 start out fighting like cats and dogs. just fighting in the middle of lunch or over breakfast until they came to the begrudging realization they actually worked pretty well together and after a class rescue training session gone wrong the two finally started to mellow out around eachother.

so as a couple their all for space when it's needed and having an open dialog which avoids most fights and twist is the very patient type so even if they were to start fighting she MIGHT be able to defuse it. but when worst comes to worse they square up and just Duke it out. whoever wins is crowned right. though this pretty quickly fazes out as they find healthier forms of competition and their communication gets better.

even so they can and will be sweet on eachother behind closed doors but if the class catches them something dumb is gonna happen. like Bakugou's probably thrown her a few times cause he usually hates physical touch. (my headcanon is he's alittle sweaty because of his quirk. but since she's got fur she's never once said anything about it or even made a funny face at it. cause eww.) but she also doesn't push his buttons which was definitely a starting point.

also in my au the plot takes place over 3 years insted of one and by the time the war and all it intales these two end up trauma bonded at the hip.

... Read moreHey fellow MHA fans! You've just read all about my OC, Twist, and her journey with Bakugou in my custom AU. But have you ever wondered how to bring your own original character to life, especially when pairing them with a canon favorite? It's one of the most rewarding parts of being in a fandom, and I'd love to share some of my personal insights into creating an OC that truly shines! First off, let's talk about design. When I imagined Twist, I wanted her to feel unique but still fit into the MHA universe. Incorporating elements like fur and distinctive horns, as you might have seen in some of my sketches, instantly gives her a memorable visual. Think about how these physical traits might influence their quirk, personality, or even how they interact with others. For instance, Twist's fanged smile isn't just for show; it hints at her feisty, untamed side, which Bakugou definitely brings out! These small details make your character feel real and contribute to a truly dynamic presence. Next, developing a compelling relationship, especially with a character as strong-willed as Bakugou, takes thought. I loved exploring the "cats and dogs" phase of Twist and Bakugou's relationship. It's so satisfying to show how initial friction can evolve into something deep and meaningful. How do they challenge each other? What common ground do they find? For them, it was through shared experiences and learning to communicate, even if it meant a few "friendly" sparring matches to clear the air! Showing those moments where they moved from fighting to a playful relationship, eventually sharing sweet moments, is key to making the ship believable. Creating an Alternate Universe (AU) also opens up so many possibilities. In my AU, I extended the MHA timeline to three years, which allowed for so much more character growth and deeper connections, especially leading up to the trauma-bonded experience I mentioned. Think about what changes you want to make from canon, and how those changes impact your OC and the existing characters. Does it give your OC a unique role? Does it provide new challenges or opportunities for character development? An AU is your canvas to tell the story you've always wanted to see unfold. Finally, the most important thing is to have fun with it! Whether you're drawing detailed illustrations or just jotting down notes, bringing your OC to life is a creative journey. Seeing your OC, like Twist with her fur and fangs, share a genuinely sweet moment with Bakugou, even just in a sketch, is incredibly fulfilling. Don't be afraid to experiment with different dynamics or explore unique character traits. What kind of MHA OCs have you created? I'd love to hear about your character designs, their quirks, or any interesting relationships they have!
