BROWN BUTTER + VANILLA BEAN GLAZE 🧈🤎🤍
I made some cinnamon rolls from scratch the other day, & even though I can’t take credit for the cinnamon roll recipe… I can for the delicious glaze I made to go with it 🤤. Oooh when I tell you I was eating it with a spoon, that’s how good it was! The brown butter, vanilla bean & cream cheese paired together is the perfect trifecta. You can use it for more than cinnamon rolls too. Any recipe that calls for a glaze, swap it for this & you won’t be disappointed! I even used some on a cupcake which it was a little thin for, but nonetheless it was still yummy.
Ingredients:
• 1 oz cream cheese
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1.5 - 2 cups powdered sugar
• half & half
• vanilla bean
• vanilla extract (optional)
Directions:
1. Heat butter in a skillet until it turns brown, then remove from heat to prevent burning.
2. Allow the browned butter to cool. Then, in a stand mixer, blend cream cheese, cooled browned butter, and vanilla bean until well combined.
3. Gradually sift in powdered sugar, adding half & half as needed until you reach your desired consistency.

Brown butter is a cooking technique that enhances the flavor of many desserts, and this glaze recipe showcases its delicious potential. To achieve the perfect brown butter, simply melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it turns a rich golden brown. This caramelization process brings out nutty flavors that pair beautifully with the aroma of vanilla bean, creating a rich and creamy glaze that will elevate your baked goods. Versatile and simple, this glaze can be used on various desserts beyond just cinnamon rolls. Imagine drizzling it over fluffy pancakes, waffles, or ice cream, adding a gourmet touch to your brunch or dinner parties. You can adjust the consistency to your liking by adding more powdered sugar for thickness or a splash of half & half for a thinner glaze. To incorporate the vanilla bean flavor, prefer using fresh vanilla beans rather than extract, as it provides a deeper and more authentic taste. A good quality vanilla can significantly enhance the overall flavor profile of your dish. This glaze also works wonderfully as a filling for cakes or as a dip for pastries, making it a must-have recipe in your dessert repertoire. Besides its flavor, the brown butter vanilla bean glaze stands out due to its beautiful color and glossy finish, adding an attractive element to your desserts. Try it out for your next gathering, and watch your guests rave about this delightful and versatile glaze!
