GARLIC BUTTER STEAK BITES 🥩🥔😋
So my mom found this recipe on TikTok and was going to cook it herself, but I was like no let me do it! Now I will say that she helped with the mashed potatoes and cooked the vegetables but I take all the credit for the steak. This is something that I definitely am going to cook in the near future because it was that good. I usually only like my steak one way, on the grill! But I will say it's been fun experimenting with different methods of cooking it. I have two steak recipes up already on my page (Hawaiian steak & steak pan meal) if you want to check those out. The inspiration behind this meal is from @/eatsbytweet on TikTok. She did a cajun garlic butter, but since I didn't have cajun seasoning I did a creole garlic butter. Still delicious, so here's my version (very loose version):
Ingredients
•ribeye steak (1 was enough for 2 people)
•3-4 medium potatoes
• butter (1 stick for steak, & some for the potatoes)
•fresh garlic (3-5 cloves)
•choice of seasonings (I will list what I used for each at the end)
•Worcestershire sauce
•sour cream
•cheese of choice
•green onion (optional)
•vegetable of choice
Directions
1. Begin by boiling your potatoes until tender.
2. Preheat a pan over medium to medium-high heat (adjust based on your stove to avoid burning the meat). Cut the ribeye into chunks and season with your preferred seasonings.
3. Sear the steak chunks on all sides until well browned. Remove the steak from the pan. In the same pan, melt butter and add fresh garlic, your choice of seasonings, and green onions (optional).
4. Return the steak to the pan, add Worcestershire sauce and cook in the butter for up to 5 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness. Check the internal temperature of the meat to ensure it’s cooked to your liking.
5. Make the mashed potatoes to your taste. I suggest adding sour cream, butter, a cheese blend (cheddar, gouda, and gruyère), salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, and topping with green onions.
6. Pair your steak and mashed potatoes with your favorite vegetable, or enjoy just the steak and potatoes if you prefer!
For the steak seasoning I used:
onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, smokehouse steak seasoning & tony's
For the melted butter:
paprika, tony's, onion powder, smoked sea salt (not a lot)
You don't have to use these, use whatever you like or have on hand. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments!

Okay, so you've seen my super easy recipe for Garlic Butter Ribeye Steak Bites, but let's dive a little deeper into some of the things that truly make this dish shine and answer some questions I often get! First off, let's talk about adding butter to steak in the pan – this is truly where the magic happens! I know some people might just cook their steak and then add butter at the end, but trust me, basting with butter in the pan during the last few minutes of cooking takes it to a whole new level. As you saw in the recipe, once the steak bites are seared, I melt more butter with fresh garlic and seasonings. This isn't just about adding fat; it's about infusing every single piece of that ribeye steak chunk with incredible flavor. The butter browns slightly, taking on a nutty, rich taste, and coats the steak, creating a beautiful glaze. Keep spooning that bubbling garlic butter over your steak bites as they finish cooking. It makes them unbelievably tender and juicy, locking in all those delicious flavors. This technique is key for that melt-in-your-mouth texture you’re craving! Speaking of ribeye chunks, choosing the right cut makes all the difference for steak bites. Ribeye is naturally well-marbled, meaning it has a good amount of fat distributed throughout the meat. When you cut it into chunks and sear them, this marbling renders down, keeping the steak incredibly moist and flavorful. It’s why my pan-seared steak bites turn out so perfect every time! If you're wondering about other cuts, while my recipe focuses on ribeye, you can absolutely adapt this garlic butter steak method to cuts like sirloin or even round steak, just be mindful that they might be less tender and cook a bit faster. The key is to cut your seasoned steak chunks evenly so they cook at the same rate. Now, I know some of you might be thinking about other ways to cook steak bites, like using an Instant Pot. While an Instant Pot is amazing for many dishes, for these specific garlic butter steak bites, I firmly believe pan-searing on the stovetop is the way to go. The high heat of the pan creates that beautiful, crusty sear on the outside of each chunk, which is hard to achieve in a pressure cooker. That caramelization, combined with the garlic butter basting, gives you a depth of flavor and texture that’s simply unmatched. The goal here is quick, tender, flavorful bites with a nice crust, and a hot pan delivers that perfectly every time. Plus, you get to build that delicious garlic butter sauce right in the same pan, minimizing cleanup and maximizing flavor! So next time you whip up these garlic butter steak bites, remember these little tips for the ultimate juicy, flavorful experience. It's truly a game-changer!
