School Checklist! 📚🤓

For this school year, it’s important that we take our education seriously. We can start by identifying what items we need or have prepared for this year! Here are things I make sure ti do to properly prepare myself:

1. Declutter

A clean space is always the way to go!

2. Find academic tools

AI is very big now, take advantage if it!

3. Check schedule

Make sure you’re always looking ahead and planning properly.

4. Review materials

Check all your work from last year and refresh your memory!

I hope you can do these things to help you prepare to have a great and successful school year! Best of luck!

... Read moreHey everyone! Getting ready for a new school year can feel like a lot, but I've found that breaking it down into manageable steps makes it so much easier. I want to share some of my personal tips that have really helped me start my academic year strong, especially since so many of you are looking for ways to get ahead! 1. Declutter Your Space (and Mind!) First things first, a clean workspace is a happy workspace! I always start by tackling my "study space." This doesn't just mean a quick tidy; I like to really go through everything. Empty out your desk drawers, sort through your "school supplies," and get rid of anything you don't need or haven't used in ages. A big one for me is "arranging my backpack" – nothing worse than digging through a mess when you need a pen! A clear physical space often leads to a clearer mind, ready to absorb new information. 2. Optimize Your Academic Tools In today's world, academic tools go beyond just pens and paper. While AI is super helpful, make sure you're also organized digitally. I spend time updating "digital files/folders" on my computer and making sure my "digital planners/calendars" are set up for the new semester. It's also a great time to check if all your "devices are working fine" – charging cables, headphones, laptop updates, etc. Having reliable tech means less stress when deadlines hit! 3. Master Your Schedule Knowing your schedule isn't just about classes; it's about planning your time effectively. I always make sure to write down my new class timetable, but more importantly, I try to map out study blocks and free time. Looking ahead helps me avoid last-minute panic. Think about when you're most productive and try to schedule your harder subjects or deep work during those times. This really helps me balance everything, from homework to hanging out with friends. 4. Refresh Your Knowledge by Reviewing Materials Before diving into new topics, I find it super helpful to do a quick refresh. Go through your "old notes" from last year, especially for subjects that build on previous knowledge. It’s amazing how much you forget over the summer! I also like to "preview materials for upcoming subjects" if I can. Just a quick glance at the textbook chapters or syllabus can give you a head start and make the first few weeks feel less overwhelming. 5. Stock Up on Smart Stationery This might sound trivial, but having good stationery actually motivates me! There's something satisfying about new "highlighters" like "Mildliners" or smooth "gradient gel pens." The OCR mentioned "Mr pen highlighters" and "Writech gradient gel pens" – these kinds of specific tools can make note-taking more enjoyable and organized. You don't need all the stationery, but having a few favorites that make you happy to open your textbook can really make a difference. 6. Set Achievable Goals & Practice Self-Care Finally, as a teen, I know school can be demanding. Take a moment to set a few achievable goals for yourself this year, whether it's improving a grade, joining a new club, or just being more organized. But equally important is to remember self-care. Don't burn yourself out! Schedule breaks, get enough sleep, and make time for hobbies and friends. A happy, healthy student is a successful student. You've got this!
