From personal experience and observation, I’ve realized that no kind gesture or gift can truly repair the damage inflicted by physical or emotional abuse. Teaching children, especially daughters, about the harsh reality that a bouquet—even one as beautiful as roses—does not erase pain is crucial. It’s important to instill awareness early on about what healthy relationships look like and to break the cycle of silence around violence. I remember discussing with a close friend how society sometimes romanticizes gestures like giving flowers after a fight or abuse, but this only masks a deeper problem. True healing comes from respect, safety, and consistent non-violence, not symbols that might superficially signify apology. The hashtag #noalaviolencia emphasizes this urgent need to reject any form of abuse and to educate the younger generation about their rights to live free from harm. It’s empowering to engage in conversations that challenge outdated ideas and to support survivors in reclaiming their voices. In my journey, I've also learned that awareness campaigns and educational programs play a pivotal role. Sharing stories and messages like "Teach your daughters that roses don't forgive a blow" spreads critical understanding that violence is never acceptable, no matter the circumstances. It's a reminder that physical or emotional wounds leave scars that no flower can erase.
