Skincare advice i would give you as a 37 year old

✨ 8 Reasons Your Skin Isn’t Thriving (Yet) ✨

1. You’re not reapplying SPF.

Sunscreen isn’t optional — it’s your daily protective bubble. Reapply at least 3 times a day when you’re outside. SPF prevents damage so your skin can stay healthy, repair itself, and age slowly and gracefully.

2. You’re not hydrating enough.

I live in a hot country and I work out, so 3 liters–1 gallon of water a day is my bare minimum. And yes… I also load up on water-rich fruits because hydration isn’t just what you drink — it’s also what you eat.

3. Your habits need a glow-up.

Not sleeping 8 hours, drinking too much, picking at your skin, pulling, tugging, eating poorly…

They seem small but they add up fast. Healthy skin is a collection of tiny good habits.

4. You’re skipping your skincare smoothies.

Fiber keeps your gut happy — and your skin is a reflection of your gut health. Good digestion = better skin. I share tons of recipes on TikTok, and I’m finally posting them here on IG too.

5. You don’t have a night routine.

A simple, effective nighttime ritual signals your body to slow down and prepare for rest. It doesn’t have to be dramatic — just consistent.

6. You’re giving up too quickly.

Skincare needs time. Use a product for at least a month (or finish it) before deciding if it worked for you. Your skin thrives on consistency, not chaos.

7. You don’t know your skin type.

Once you understand your skin, everything gets easier. Buy products based on your actual skin needs — same for hair and body care.

8. You’re not putting yourself first.

Even 15 minutes a day makes a difference. Prioritize you. Your future self will thank you.

Here’s some of the skincare on my current rotation:

... Read moreAs we navigate our late 30s, our skin requires more care and attention to maintain its vitality and youthful glow. One of the most important habits is consistent and proper use of SPF. Not just applying sunscreen once but reapplying it at least three times a day when outdoors can make a huge difference in preventing UV damage and premature aging. Products like ETUDE SoonJung Director's Moisture Sun Cream SPF50+ offer excellent protection with a gentle formula suited for aging skin. Hydration plays a vital role too. Drinking around 3 liters or a gallon of water daily helps maintain skin elasticity and flush out toxins. Complement this by eating water-rich fruits to boost your skin’s plumpness and smoothness. Hydrated skin resists fine lines and dryness better. Building positive daily habits is critical. Regular 8 hours of sleep allows skin cells to repair and regenerate. Avoiding harmful habits such as excessive alcohol consumption, skin picking, or harsh tugging preserves your skin’s barrier. Incorporating fiber-rich smoothies can improve gut health, which reflects positively on your complexion by reducing inflammation and acne. Creating a consistent nighttime skincare routine signals your body to rest and repair. Using products like DermalQuench Liquid Lift Advanced Hydration Treatment and Vitamin C serums from Bare Minerals helps address hydration and brighten your skin tone overnight. Patience is key in skincare. A minimum of one month’s consistent use of any new product, such as Caffetinal Cream by Kaine, is recommended before evaluating effectiveness. This steady approach allows your skin to adjust and benefit fully. Lastly, understanding your unique skin type is a game changer. Selecting products tailored to your skin’s needs improves results and reduces irritation. And never underestimate the power of self-care—dedicating even 15 minutes daily to prioritize your skin wellness makes a substantial impact on your future self’s appearance and confidence. Integrating these thoughtful, evidence-based tips into your skincare routine will help you achieve thriving, radiant skin well into your 30s and beyond.
