Another fun way to experience the area was tubing down the nearby river; it offered a refreshing escape and a unique perspective of the natural landscape. For those interested in local culture, a short trip into town allowed me to visit a bustling market and learn about the traditional Maya chocolate-making process. It’s a rare chance to connect to Belize’s heritage beyond the tourist hotspots. After active days, relaxing in the lodge’s infinity pool was pure bliss. The calm water made it easy to unwind and take in the serene jungle environment.
