Hey everyone! So many of you have asked about how I put together my vision board, and honestly, it's one of my favorite annual rituals. Seeing my dreams laid out visually really helps me stay focused and motivated throughout the year. If you're wondering how to make a vision board that truly speaks to your soul, you're in the right place! I’m going to walk you through my process, sharing some tips and tricks I've learned along the way. First things first, you don't need much to get started. Grab a large piece of poster board – any color works! You'll also need scissors, glue or tape, and a stack of magazines, printouts, or even photos you've taken. Don't forget some markers or colorful pens for adding your own personal touches, like those motivational quotes that really resonate with you. Now, for the fun part: brainstorming your dreams! Before I even look for images, I take some time to reflect on what I truly want for the upcoming year. For my 2024 vision board, I focused on things like revamping my wardrobe with more stylish coats and perhaps a statement gold necklace, or planning those incredible trips to see ancient ruins and explore ornate buildings in far-off lands. Think about different aspects of your life: Travel & Adventure: Where do you want to go? What cultures do you want to experience? (Like visiting a coastal fort or getting that airplane icon on your board!) Personal Growth & Learning: What skills do you want to acquire? What books do you want to read? (I always include images of old books for my aspiration to be a museum curator!) Health & Wellness: How do you want to feel? What activities do you want to try? Career & Finance: What are your professional goals? Relationships: How do you want to strengthen connections? Experiences: What new foods do you want to taste? What new hobbies do you want to pick up? (Diverse food dishes are a must for me!) Once you have a good list, it’s time to hunt for images! This is where the magic happens. Flip through magazines, browse Pinterest, or even use Google Images. Look for pictures that evoke the feeling of achieving your goals. Don't just find an image of a plane; find a picture that makes you feel the excitement of travel. For instance, instead of just saying "travel," I look for specific images of the destinations I dream of, like a majestic coastal fort or intricate, ornate buildings that capture the essence of different cultures. I also look for fashion elements – not just clothes, but entire outfits or accessories that represent my desired style, like a specific type of stylish coat or that elegant gold necklace I mentioned. Once you’ve collected a good pile of images and words, start arranging them on your board. Don't be afraid to experiment! There’s no right or wrong way to do it. I usually start by placing my biggest goals first, then fill in around them. Make sure there's a good balance and that the board feels energizing when you look at it. Remember to include those motivational quotes to keep your spirits high! After your vision board is complete, find a place where you'll see it every single day. Mine is usually above my desk, so it's the first and last thing I see. This isn't just about pretty pictures; it's about setting intentions and taking action. Every time you see your board, it's a reminder of what you're working towards. It helps you manifest your dreams by keeping them front and center in your mind. So, if you’re ready to live your best life in 2024, I highly recommend creating your own vision board. It's a powerful tool, and it's so much fun to create! What are some of your dream goals for your vision board? Let me know in the comments!
