Girls who are older give advice to younger 20s
I’m 21 so I cannot really answer this question for myself but I thought it would be a good interactive post!
I want to hear your stories and advice and hope this post can help someone else too!

It's so wonderful to see young women reaching out for wisdom! As someone who's just a bit further down the road, having navigated my own early 20s and beyond, I wanted to share some of the 'best advice' I wish someone had given me. It's a transformative time, full of growth, self-discovery, and sometimes, a lot of uncertainty. This decade sets the stage for so much, and here’s what I’ve learned. First, let's talk about careers and finding your path. When you're in your early 20s, there's often immense pressure to have a 'dream job' or a perfectly clear career trajectory. My biggest tip? Don't panic if you don't. This decade is for exploration. Take internships, volunteer, try different roles – even if they seem unrelated. What I've learned is that every experience builds on the last, and sometimes the most unexpected turns lead to your true calling. It's not about finding the perfect job right away, but finding what ignites your curiosity and helps you grow. Embrace the learning process, even if it feels like you're just dipping your toes into various ponds. Don't be afraid to change your mind or pivot; that's how you discover what truly resonates with you. Next, relationships – both platonic and romantic. This period can be a whirlwind of friendships evolving and romantic interests coming and going. My advice here is twofold: nurture your true friendships fiercely. These are the people who will celebrate your wins and lift you during your struggles. Invest in them. And when it comes to romantic relationships, understand your worth first. Don’t rush into commitments out of fear or societal pressure. Learn what you truly value in a partner, set healthy boundaries, and remember that your happiness isn't dependent on anyone else. Self-love isn't selfish; it's essential. I remember struggling with self-doubt and trying to fit in, but prioritizing my own well-being and standing firm in my identity, much like the confident young woman with the nose piercing on the image, was the best decision I ever made. Financial independence might seem daunting, but it's incredibly empowering. Even small steps, like starting an emergency fund, understanding basic budgeting, or learning about investments, can make a huge difference. I wish I had started earlier! Being able to support yourself offers immense freedom and reduces a lot of stress. It’s not about being rich, but about being secure and having choices that align with your values. Finally, and perhaps most importantly: embrace imperfection. You will make mistakes – big and small. And that's perfectly okay. Don't let the fear of failure paralyze you. Each misstep is a lesson, a chance to refine your path. The journey of your early 20s is about discovering who you are, what you stand for, and what brings you joy. It's a time for growth, for shedding old skins, and for truly becoming the vibrant, capable woman you're meant to be. Don't let society tell you 'is 25 mid 20s' is too late for anything – every year brings new opportunities. Be kind to yourself, trust your gut, and enjoy every messy, beautiful moment.
