My son’s last day at his daycare 😭

It's so hard to say goodbye when your little one embarks on a new adventure! My heart was so full of mixed emotions on my son's last day at his beloved daycare. When it comes to writing a farewell message to child leaving daycare or for the teachers, I found it best to be sincere and specific. Mentioning a fond memory or a particular skill your child learned from them makes it personal. You can keep it short and sweet or write a longer letter. For example, a note could read: 'Dear [Teacher's Name], Thank you for everything you've done for [Child's Name] over the past [number] years. We'll always remember [specific memory/lesson, like 'how you helped him learn his ABCs' or 'his joy during story time'].' Sometimes, a simple 'We'll miss you!' says it all. Beyond the goodbyes to teachers, preparing your child for their last day and the transition is key. We talked about the new school, visited it if possible, and reassured him that he'd still see his friends sometimes. Making the last day special, maybe with a small party or just extra cuddles, can help ease the change for them. For us parents, it's okay to shed a tear (or two!). It's an end of an era.
