One key tip is to make sure you roll the dough out thin enough until it becomes almost transparent—that’s how you get the perfect texture. Thicker dough leads to chewier noodles, so it depends on your preference. When rolling, lightly flour the surface and the dough to prevent sticking, and remember to roll tightly on both ends before slicing to ensure clean, even strips. Cut your pasta to your preferred thickness, remembering that thinner noodles will cook faster. After slicing, gently unravel your pasta and dust it again with flour to keep the strands separate. Boiling fresh pasta only takes a few minutes, typically 2 to 3 minutes, since it cooks much faster than dried pasta. Just keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking. For the sauce, adding mozzarella gradually while stirring helps achieve a rich, creamy texture. You can customize the sauce by seasoning it with salt, pepper, or herbs like basil for extra flavor. Adding mix-ins such as sautéed broccoli and chicken, as suggested, makes for a heartier meal. This homemade pasta experience not only tastes better than store-bought but also brings a fun, hands-on element to cooking that you’ll enjoy time and time again.
