Ube Matcha Latte (14 RM): 9/10
The ube flavor is super rich and velvety though it is just a tad bit on the sweeter side. It still pairs beautifully with the earthy matcha layer!
Pistachio Matcha Latte (14 RM): 8/10
It's not bad at all but the matcha flavor is a little on the milder side here. I think I'd still prefer a classic matcha latte for that stronger tea kick. That being said, the pistachio sauce gives it a lovely nuttiness, and love the little crunchy bits at the bottom.
Cocoa Whisper (11 RM): 8/10
ordered this for my friend who completely refuses to try matcha🫣 smooth, deep chocolate flavor without being overwhelmingly sugary. several great options for non matcha lovers!

What’s especially cool is their Cocoa Whisper, a non-matcha option that caters to friends who typically shy away from green tea. It delivers a smooth chocolate experience without excess sweetness, making it an inviting alternative while still enjoying the cafe’s quality preparation. I also appreciated tasting these drinks at their Kota Jail outlet in Johor Bahru, which adds local charm to the experience. From my visits, trying specialty matcha options like these can really elevate your usual tea routine. Plus, exploring places like Matcha Lalu shows how versatile matcha can be, especially when infused with culturally rich flavors like ube or local nuts.
