the last 5 coffees I drank on-the-go

● 22 Grams Coffee (22g)

Ice Latte $7

The coffee is smooth and aromatic. They automatically serve a strong 2 shot espresso base for maximum flavor but the baristas are super sweet and will always check if you're okay with the strength first (you can ask for 1 shot if you prefer it lighter!)

Also, they use one single massive square ice cube for iced drinks. It looks super aesthetic and stops your coffee from getting watered down while you drink it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

📍79 Anson Rd, Keppel South Central #01 -K3

●Ton Coffee

Ice Salt Coffee $3.50‐$4.50

Authentic Vietnamese iced coffee. This coffee has a strong caffeine kick topped with salted cream foam that is thick and rich, but drinking them together makes it really well-balanced.Gonna try their Egg Coffee next!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

📍7 Wallich St, B1-06A/06B Guoco Tower

●Sabana Coffeehouse

Pistachio Yuan Yang $3.90

Pistachio + Yuan Yang? It actually works! That creamy, nutty pistachio layer is actually on the subtle side so it's quite refreshing without being overwhelmingly rich. They also have some other interesting drinks on the menu(like Black Sesame Kopi and Pandan Cloud Latte)!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

📍159 Mei Chin Rd, #02 -07 Mei Ling Food Centre

●Kyuukei Coffee | Alexandra

Iced Flat White $7

This coffee profile just wasn't my exact cup of tea. It leaned a bit too acidic for my personal preference. Next time, I’ll prolly ask the barista for a lower acidity bean option!

⭐⭐⭐

📍121 Bukit Merah Lane 1, #01 -06

●Brewprint Coffee

Iced Salted Caramel Latte $6

A hidden gem home-based cafe! This drink is actually super good. The rich espresso blends so well with the creamy milk and the caramel gives a nice, comforting sweetness without being too sweet or overpowering. Love the slight saltiness that balances it all out. Super smooth!

... Read moreFinding the perfect coffee to enjoy on the go can be quite a delightful experience, especially in a city like Singapore where coffee culture is vibrant and diverse. My recent adventure tasting five different coffees really opened my eyes to how much variety and creativity is available, even when you're just grabbing a quick drink. One thing I learned is that the quality and presentation of iced coffee matter just as much as the taste. For example, 22 Grams Coffee not only offers a smooth, aromatic iced latte but also impresses with their use of a large square ice cube that keeps the drink cold without diluting the flavor—something I really appreciated on a hot day. Ton Coffee’s Vietnamese iced coffee was a pleasant surprise with its strong caffeine kick complemented perfectly by the salted cream foam on top. The balance between the robustness and the creamy salted foam was something unique, and I’m keen on trying their Egg Coffee next as it seems to be a signature option. Sabana Coffeehouse took a creative spin by blending pistachio with Yuan Yang (a mixture of coffee and tea), resulting in a creamy yet refreshingly subtle drink. Their menu also includes intriguing local flavors like Black Sesame Kopi and Pandan Cloud Latte, which reflect the local tastebuds and a willingness to experiment. At Kyuukei Coffee, the iced flat white was a bit too acidic for my personal preference, but knowing you can request a lower acidity bean option shows how customizable specialty coffee shops are, catering to different palates. Finally, Brewprint Coffee, a home-based café, stood out with its iced salted caramel latte. The slight saltiness balanced with the rich espresso and creamy milk created a smooth and comforting drink that was neither too sweet nor overwhelming. Overall, these coffee shops not only offer delicious drinks but also showcase thoughtful touches—from espresso strength customization to innovative flavors and ice cube aesthetics—that make each cup memorable. For anyone who’s on the hunt for quality on-the-go coffee in Singapore, these places are definitely worth a visit.
