leaving jamaica (GONE WRONG)
ok so lemme TELL UU. i live in st andrew and had to go back to florida for some family reasons . which ive done MANY MANY times b4 since i live there but THIS time. tell me why my mom decided we shouldn’t go to our regular airport thats a 30-1 hr drive away and instead go the montego bay where the flights are “cheaper” and drive 3 HOURS !! yall. i fell asleep for the 1 hr we already drove and when i woke up we were on the highway and our car started making noise so my dad was like uhoh. i thought it was a joke at first until we got to the lil ticket thingy and the car literally broke down 🧍🏽♀️. girl. we had to push the car to the side of the road LUCKILY NOT ON THE HIGHWAY NO MORE. and we got out the car and it turned out to be my dad forgot the radiator cap thingy and the car was literally smoking. so my dad ran to the gasstation to get some green liquid ion what dont ask me and it didnt work 🧍🏽♀️ MIND u i had my grandma, brother and aunt there with me us . we sat in a lil shaded area for about 2 1/2 hours and had to cancel our flight which ironically cost my mom MORE money 🤣 . the sun started coming into our spot while were waiting for my dad to get a taxi and my makeup melted sm i literally ate my lip liner and cried my mascara .
anyways we asked the man under the ticket thingy if we could go under it and he said yes and we brought our luggage and stuff and started to relax as he said and then he told us we have to leave 😆 so we sat in the hot car and waited . finally my dad came back with the taxi and we got to the airport🤗
i was miserable but i got so many videos of us all tg and it was pretty fun playing outside w my older brother like we use to when we were younger 🫶🏽

Traveling can be an exciting yet unpredictable experience, as highlighted by my recent journey leaving Jamaica. Often, families opt for alternative routes or airports thinking it will save them money; however, this can lead to unforeseen complications. This time, instead of our usual airport, we drove three hours to Montego Bay, where flight prices seemed better. During our journey, we faced a significant delay when our car broke down unexpectedly. It's crucial to prepare for such situations when traveling. Ensuring that your vehicle is well-maintained can prevent breakdowns, which are not only frustrating but can also lead to missed flights. In my case, we ended up having to cancel our booking, incurring extra costs. Make sure to plan your travel time wisely, considering potential delays and hiccups along the way. I learned that having a backup plan, like knowing taxi services or nearby accommodations, can be very helpful. Despite the misadventures, the experience allowed me to reconnect with my family, share stories, and find joy in being together during tough moments. For future trips, it's vital to stay calm and make the best out of every situation. Meanwhile, I hope you join me on a broader exploration of travel tips and personal anecdotes by following my upcoming vlogs!
